NCIS: NEW ORLEANS Sneak Peek: Big Sleazy In The Big Easy

New Orleans Mayor Douglas Hamilton, or as I like to call him, “The Big Sleazy from the Big Easy,” may be up to his elbows in alligators as his enemies pile up higher than a Georgia pine tree.

Seems the good mayor, and I use the word “good” with a tad of irony, just cannot shake the doggedness of NCIS: NEW ORLEANS Special Agent, Dwayne Pride (Scott Bakula).

Hamilton (Steven Weber) already has incensed Dwayne with his own dedication to self-preservation. The mayor’s tactics have ranged from having Percy (Shalita Grant) transferred to general population in prison to being willing to let Loretta (CCH Pounder) die from a horrible virus. He will go to any lengths to break up the team, and there has been talk about disbanding the NCIS: NEW ORLEANS post.

When Pride is spotted tracking one of Hamilton’s accomplices, the suspect opens fire on a crowded street before disappearing. The Director orders NCIS: NEW ORLEANS to steer clear of the case, which infuriates Dwayne.

Douglas hopes to keep the NCIS: NEW ORLEANS team busy and disjointed, so he can continue his devious plans, unfettered.

Unfortunately for Hizzoner, Dwayne’s stubbornness and the team’s loyalty are going to give Hamilton’s machinations a run for their money.

And in a city with riverboat casinos, Pride is a bet you can take to the bank.

NCIS: NEW ORLEANS also stars Lucas Black, Vanessa Ferlito, Rob Kerkovich and Daryl “Chill” Mitchell.

Guest stars include Wilbur Fitzgerald, Carlos Gómez, Shawn Bradly Hoefer, Gretchen Koerner, John Newberg, Ronnie Rhodes, Lisa Mackel Smith and Donald M. Krause.

Tonight’s episode, “Down the Rabbit Hole,” was written by Brad Kern and directed by Ed Ornelas.

NCIS: NEW ORLEANS airs tonight (May 9) at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT on CBS in the U.S. and Global TV in Canada.
