DESIGNATED SURVIVOR, AGENTS OF SHIELD and AMERICAN HOUSEWIFE Renewed at ABC

Two freshman series — DESIGNATED SURVIVOR and AMERICAN HOUSEWIFE — were both renewed by the network. DESIGNATED SURVIVOR stars Kiefer Sutherland as a Cabinet member who became President after the assassination of the former President and the entire House of Representatives.

Meanwhile, AMERICAN HOUSEWIFE, starring Katy Mixon, has averaged a 2.2 rating among adults 18-49 and 7.3 million viewers during its first season.

AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D., which thus far has run for four seasons, will be returning for a fifth season. The show is also getting a sort of spin-off in the form of THE INHUMANS, the second Marvel series that will be airing on the network.
