ABC isn’t shy about giving its shows multi-season renewals this year. It happened yesterday with MODERN FAMILY and now the network has renewed THE GOLDBERGS for seasons 5 and 6.
The show is based on the childhood of series creator Adam F. Goldberg and follows a young versions of Adam as he and his very eccentric family navigate life in the 1980s. THE GOLDBERGS stars Wendi McLendon-Covey, Sean Giambrone, Troy Gentile, Hayley Orrantia, A.J. Michalka, George Segal, Jeff Garlin. and Patton Oswalt as the show’s narrator.
The current season will come to an end on Wednesday, May 17 at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
