Beth Behrs starred as Caroline, a former rich girl who moved in with poor girl Max when her father was arrested and lost their family fortune. Once she learned that Max was terrific at baking, Caroline convinced her friend that they should try to open a cupcake shop (while still working as waitresses). The girls had several successful and failed businesses over the years. The season 6 finale ended with Kat Dennings’ Max getting engaged to wealthy entertainment lawyer Randy.
