ARROW Sneak Peek: Stairway To Heaven

‘Tis Finale Season, and our favorite shows are all pulling out the stops so we don’t forget them over the summer. And ARROW is pulling out a lot of REALLY, REALLY GOOD stops.

If you’re like my friend, Susan, who opens your presents before Christmas, skip down to the guest cast for next week.

Either the producers have put together an OMG cast or someone in Publicity is playing a cruel joke on the universe.

And it all starts tonight when Katie Cassidy returns as a precursor to rejoining the regular cast again next year. While poor milquetoast Laurel Lance of this Earth is resting in peace, the Laurel from another mother on Earth 2 is back as Black Siren.

Siren, whose mouth and attitude seem much closer to the print Black Canary than Cassidy’s previous role (except for the villainess thing), has aligned with Adrian Chase (Josh Segarra) who is locked up in a cell.

Maybe she never got over Oliver’s (Stephen Amell) lack of interest, but for some reason, she just loves to take out her frustration on Team Arrow. Pair her up with Chase and his daddy issues, and there is enough business to employ a fleet of shrinks.

Other drama soaping up the landscape, Quentin (Paul Blackthorne) is furious with Rene (Rick Gonzalez) who skipped the custody hearing for his daughter, thinking that a daddy-less life would be better for her. That does not sit well with Lance who knows what it is like to lose two daughters. Stay tuned to see if the reemergence of Laurel’s doppelgänger drives him back to the bottle.

And for that other THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL moment, it looks like Ollie and Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) may put on their fancy dating duds and consider another spin around the Love Boat.

Action fans, do not despair. Not everything is about mending broken relationships tonight.

Curtis (Echo Kellum) goes to Dinah’s (Juliana Harkavy) place, and while investigating a possible break-in/abduction there, he is knocked unconscious and dragged away. Either Chase is manipulating the outside world from jail or nu-Laurel thinks there are too many canaries for one cage…or both.

As ARROW shoots toward next week’s season finale, watch for the setup for more faces to return.

Warning…do not drive and read the following list of guest stars at the same time. And yes, the list is so big that it takes up 3 paragraphs…

Colton Haynes (Roy Harper/Arsenal), Audrey Marie Anderson (as Lyla Michaels), John Barrowman (Malcolm Merlyn/Dark Archer), Alexander Calvert (Lonnie Machin/Anarky), Joe Dinicol (Rory Regan/Ragman) and Megalyn Echikunwoke as Megalyn E.K (Mari McCabe/the original Vixen from earlier seasons and The CW Seed),

Matt Nable (Ra’s al Ghul), Matt Ryan (John Constantine), Rila Fukushima (Tatsu Yamashiro/Katana), Susanna Thompson (Moira Queen), Lexa Doig (Talia al Ghul), Cynthia Addai-Robinson (Amanda Waller), Michael Rowe (Deadshot) and Colin Donnell (Tommy Merlyn),

Manu Bennett (Slade Wilson/Deathstroke), Katie Cassidy (Black Siren), Katrina Law (Nyssa al Ghul), Dolph Lundgren (Konstantin Kovar) David Meunier (Ishmael Gregor) and Nick E. Tarabay (Digger Harkness).

Sorry about your car bumper. I told you not to read and drive.

Tonight’s episode, “Missing,” was written by Speed Weed & Oscar Balderrama and directed by Mairzee Almas.

ARROW airs tonight (May 17) at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.
