Fans have been patiently waiting for the second season of last summer’s break-out hit STRANGER THINGS and today Netflix announced that the new season will debut on October 27.
Details for the new season are scarce and the streaming service only released the following synopsis and timeline:
“It’s 1984 and the citizens of Hawkins, Indiana are still reeling from the horrors of the Demogorgon and the secrets of Hawkins Lab. Will Byers has been rescued from the Upside Down but a bigger, sinister entity still threatens those who survived.”
1953 – Date Unknown – MK Ultra comes to Hawkins
1979 – Police Cheif Jim Hopper returns to Hawkins
1983 – November 6 – The Vanishing of Will Byers
1983 – November 8 – The Vanishing of Barbara Holland
Netflix also released the keyart for the new season, which shows the series’ main four boys staring at an onimous storm approach Hawkins — with the Demogorgon spotted among the red and black clouds.
