The CW Teasers: SUPERNATURAL, ARROW, THE FLASH and More Return for New Seasons

What’s coming to The CW the week of October 9? It just so happens to be the official start of the network’s new season, with basically every show premiering, including SUPERNATURAL, ARROW, THE FLASH, CRAZY EX-GIRLFRIEND, SUPERGIRL, DYNASTY and much more.

Monday, October 9

SUPERGIRL 3.01 “Girl of Steel”: Kara (Melissa Benoist) deals with the loss of Mon-El (Chris Wood) by focusing all her energy on being Supergirl and the mysterious new threat against National City. Alex (Chyler Leigh) confesses a secret to Maggie (guest star Floriana Lima) about their impending nuptials. A citizen of National City has a mysterious connection to Kara, and Lena (Katie McGrath) makes a bold move. Jesse Warn directed the episode with story by Andrew Kreisberg and teleplay by Robert Rovner and Caitlin Parrish. Andrew Kreisberg Talks Reign, Mon-El’s Return and Lena Luthor in season 3.

VALOR 1.01 “Pilot”: An elite unit of U.S. Army helicopter pilots called the Shadow Raiders is sent on a top secret mission to Somalia, a mission that goes terribly awry. Only two members of the team return safely: Warrant Officer Nora Madani (Christina Ochoa), one of the unit’s first female helicopter pilots, and her commanding officer, Captain Leland Gallo (Matt Barr), while the whereabouts of their comrade Jimmy Kam (W. Tre’ Davis) are unknown. Now back in the U.S., Nora and Gallo are the only ones who know the truth about what really went wrong in Somalia. Nora’s boyfriend, First Lieutenant Ian Porter (Charlie Barnett), suspects she’s not telling him the full story, and Jess Kam (Corbin Reid), Jimmy’s wife and Nora’s friend, is frustrated and furious at being kept in the dark. Meanwhile, Thea (Melissa Roxburgh), the enigmatic CIA officer charged with investigating the failed mission, has her own suspicions about what occurred. With Nora still recovering from a gunshot wound she suffered during the mission, the commander of the Shadow Raiders, Col. Robert Haskins (Nigel Thatch), grounds her from flying. But when it’s discovered that Jimmy is alive and being held captive by a group of ruthless terrorists, Nora is determined to join Gallo back in the cockpit to rescue their friend. As preparation and training intensify, Nora and Gallo grow closer, and soon find themselves torn between duty, honor and desire as they wonder who they can trust, and whether the secrets they’re hiding will help save Jimmy…or put them all in terrible danger. Tuesday, October 10

THE FLASH 4.01 “The Flash Reborn”: With Barry (Grant Gustin) in the speed force, Iris (Candice Patton), Kid Flash (Keiynan Lonsdale), Joe (Jesse L. Martin) and Vibe (Carlos Valdes) have taken over protecting Central City. However, when a powerful armored villain threatens to level the city if The Flash doesn’t appear, Cisco makes a risky decision to break Barry out of the speed force. However, the Barry that comes out isn’t the same Barry that went in. Glen Winter directed the episode with story by Andrew Kreisberg and teleplay by Todd Helbing & Eric Wallace. DC’S LEGENDS OF TOMORROW 3.01 “Aruba-Con”: When the Legends realize that they broke the timeline, Rip Hunter (guest star Arthur Darvill) arrives with his new organization – the Time Bureau – to relieve them of duty. The Legends are thrilled to get a chance to put the team back together but a new threat arises when Rory (Dominic Purcell) spots Julius Caesar (guest star Simon Merrells) in Aruba. Sara (Caity Lotz), Nate (Nick Zano) and Ray (Brandon Routh) devise a plan to steal the Waverider back from the Time Bureau in order to try and stop Julius Caesar from conquering the modern world. Victor Garber, Maisie Richardson-Sellers and Franz Drameh also star. Rob Seidenglanz directed the episode written by Phil Klemmer & Marc Guggenheim.

Wednesday, October 11

RIVERDALE 2.01 “Chapter Fourteen: A Kiss Before Dying”: As Fred’s (Luke Perry) life hangs in the balance following the shooting at Pop’s diner, Archie (KJ Apa) struggles with the emotional aftermath of what he witnessed. Meanwhile, as Veronica (Camila Mendes) steps out of her comfort zone to support Archie, she learns that her father Hiram (Mark Consuelos) has arrived to Riverdale earlier than expected. Elsewhere, at Pop’s diner, Pop Tate (guest star Alvin Sanders) recounts the chilling details of the shooting, which leaves Jughead (Cole Sprouse) and Betty (Lili Reinhart) questioning the gunman’s true motives. Lastly, after running into Cheryl (Madelaine Petsch) at the hospital, Betty and Kevin (Casey Cott) are surprised to learn about the fire at Thornhill. Rob Seidenglanz directed the episode written by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa. Read spoilers for season 2.

DYNASTY 1.01 “Pilot”: Fallon Carrington (Elizabeth Gillies) is charismatic, cunning, and poised to become the new COO of her father Blake’s (Grant Show) global energy empire – or so she thinks. Along with her brother Steven, (James Mackay) Fallon is horrified to learn that they were called home not to announce her promotion – but rather to make the acquaintance of their stepmother-to-be, Cristal (Nathalie Kelley). When Blake chooses Cristal over his own daughter, Fallon sidles up to Blake’s biggest rival, Jeff Colby (Sam Adegoke), to seek her revenge. Meanwhile, when Cristal’s nephew Sammy Jo (Rafael de la Fuente) comes to town, her carefully concealed history could bring her future crashing down – and who knows who else she might take down with her. Thursday, October 12

SUPERNATURAL 13.01 “Lost and Found”: Season 13 begins exactly where we left off, with Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) left to pick up the pieces after the loss of their mother, the demise of Crowley (Mark Sheppard) and the heartbreaking death of Castiel (Misha Collins). The birth of Jack (Alexander Calvert) leaves the Winchester brothers with differing opinions on how to deal with a Nephilim. After being dragged into the breach, Mary (Samantha Smith) must learn to survive Lucifer (Mark Pellegrino) and an apocalyptic world. Phil Sgriccia directed the episode written by Andrew Dabb. ARROW 6.01 “Fallout”: Oliver (Stephen Amell) deals with the fallout of the explosion on the island. James Bamford directed the episode written by Marc Guggenheim & Wendy Mericle.

Friday, October 13

CRAZY EX-GIRLFRIEND 3.01 “Josh’s Ex-Girlfriend Wants Revenge”: Rebecca (Rachel Bloom), abandoned at the altar by her obsession, Josh (Vincent Rodriguez III), works to plot her revenge with the help of Paula (Donna Lynne Champlin), Heather (Vella Lovell) and Valencia (Gabrielle Ruiz). It might be a bit tough to figure out, since he ran off the day of the wedding to become a priest. Meanwhile, White Josh (David Hull) and Darryl (Pete Gardner) have some problems to work on and Paula and Scott (guest star Steve Monroe) confront some unusual issues in their marriage. Scott Michael Foster also stars. Aline Brosh McKenna and Rachel Bloom wrote the episode, directed by Erin Ehrlich.

JANE THE VIRGIN 4.01 “Chapter Sixty-Five”: When Jane (Gina Rodriguez) is reunited with her first love, Adam (guest star Tyler Posey), she is shocked but happy to see him, however Xo (Andrea Navedo) and Alba (Ivonne Coll) are less thrilled that he is back. After Rafael (Justin Baldoni) loses ownership of the hotel to his sister, he finds himself at Jane’s house, broke and homeless. Jane and Rafael learn that Petra (Yael Grobglas) has been found and they rush to her aide, but Anezka (Yael Grobglas) is nowhere to be found. Meanwhile, Xo and Rogelio (Jaime Camil) wedded bliss is interrupted when they confront the realization that Darci (guest star Justina Machado) is having Rogelio’s baby and she wants full custody. Brad Silberling directed the episode written by Jennie Snyder Urman & Paul Sciarrotta.
