Season 10 of THE X-FILES may not have featured Mulder and Scully’s son, William, but a new trailer for season 11 (which dropped during New York Comic-Con) has a big focus on the boy. During today’s panel on the show, creator Chris Carter said that “we explore that father-son-mother relationship [next season], and you’ll see more of William than you’ve seen in a long time.” From the looks of the preview, it also appears that the fate of humanity is at stake and William may be the key to stopped (or starting?) whatever extinction event is coming.
In other news for season 11, we’ll be getting 8 standalone episodes and 2 heavy mythology episodes. The trailer below also shows a lot more of Walter Skinner in season 11 than we got last season.
THE-X-FILES will return with all new episodes in 2018.
