NCIS: NEW ORLEANS Sneak Peek: From Russia With Love

It seems to be a CW-tribute week of sorts on CBS tonight. Not only is Travis Wester (GHOSTFACERS’s Harry Spangler from SUPERNATURAL) on NCIS, but Cassidy Freeman (Tess Mercer of SMALLVILLE) returns to NCIS: NEW ORLEANS.

Cassidy’s character, Eva Azarova, first appeared last year in a crossover event with NCIS as a “person of interest.”

A former Russian GRU sleeper agent, Eva was instrumental in stopping Abby’s brother from being killed and saving Torres from abductors.

Forced to join Russian Intelligence, Azarova made the best of her situation and developed some serious skills, like the ability to break out of maximum security prison and hack a terrorist playbook from the Department of Homeland Security.

Despite a looming prison stay, Eva chose to help NCIS rather than escape, making her a frenemy of the state. When Eva returns tonight, she partners with Gregorio (Vanessa Ferlito) to locate a missing operative whom Eva has known since childhood.

Dwayne (Scott Bakula) finally returns to the team under the watchful eye of the deputy director, and NCIS: NEW ORLEANS joins forces with FBI Director Isler (returning guest star, Derek Webster).

Watch for some serious James Bond and/or Spider-Man action (your choice of comparisons) after a Russian operative, who is in the U.S. to provide intelligence on sleeper agents, disappears after his Navy escort is murdered.

Other guest stars in tonight’s episode, “The Asset,” are Pavel Kalachev, Tawny Cypress, Jamie Bernadette and Aaron Dominguez.

“The Asset” was written by Christopher Silber and directed by Tony Wharmby.

NCIS: NEW ORLEANS airs tonight (October 10) at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT on CBS (U.S.) and at 7pm on Global (Canada).
