FX had a hit with THE PEOPLE VS OJ SIMPSON, the first season of Ryan Murphy’s AMERICAN CRIME STORY anthology series. The second season will be titled THE ASSASSINATION of GIANNI VERSACE and focuses on the death of the famous designer.
The 10 episode second season focuses on the July 1997 murder of Versace by serial killer Andrew Cunanan (played by Darren Criss). Edgar Ramirez plays the titular character, while Penelope Cruz and Ricky Martin also star.
Today FX announced that THE ASSASSINATION of GIANNI VERSACE will premiere on Wednesday, January 17 at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT.
