Karina Logue (SCREAM: THE TV SERIES, HOMELAND, RAY DONOVAN) returns to NCIS: LOS ANGELES tonight as LAPD Detective Ellen Whiting who doggedly investigated Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen) last season for the murder of his partner.

When Whiting was shot in the neck, Marty confessed that he had killed his former LAPD partner, Boyle, because Boyle was a dirty cop. (He thought Whiting was going to die and take the secret with her.)

Marty encouraged the IAB watchdog to hang on, and since no good deed goes unpunished, Whiting recovered and returns tonight to hold that favor/confession over his head. Whiting forces Deeks to help Internal Affairs investigate his former LAPD boss, Lieutenant Roger Bates. Guest star, Patrick St. Esprit (THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE, INDEPENDENCE DAY: RESURGENCE), reprises his role as Bates.

Ellen thinks Bates has gone rogue and blackmails Marty into helping her, using his confession as leverage.

As it says in the song from which tonight’s episode title, “Can I Get A Witness” was taken, Deeks should be singing the refrain “tell her it ain’t fair.”

Callen (Chris O’Donnell) and Sam (LL COOL J) go after suspects who may be threatening some children who accidentally witnessed something they should not have seen, and the team continues to search for the truth about Hetty’s (Linda Hunt) disappearance.

“Can I Get A Witness” was written by Chad Mazero and directed by James Hanlon.

Additional guest cast on NCIS: LOS ANGELES includes THE WALKING DEAD’s and SONS OF ANARCHY’s Jeff Kober, Long Nguyen, Alex Wyse, Johnathan McClain, Georgia Mischak, Caleel Harris, Zachary Hinrichs and Lauren Boles

NCIS: LOS ANGELES airs tonight in the U.S. on CBS around 9:30 p.m. on the east coast and at 9:00 p.m. on the west coast. East coast viewers are reminded to set their DVRs for overruns due to football delays earlier in the day.
