THE CROWN: Things Are Changing in Season 2

November 6, 2017 By Clarissa Leave a Comment

The Monarchy is changing in season 2 of THE CROWN and not always for the better. In a new trailer for the second season Philip — and his scandals — are in the spotlight. And there’s a good chance that Elizabeth and the Monarchy could be taken down by the rumours that her husband is cheating on her.

Meanwhile, Princess Margaret continues to try and break away from her family and the Crown, which took her true love from her. Margaret isn’t the only person who wants to come into the modern age — modernity is coming for the Monarchy whether Elizabeth wants it or not.

Beginning with soldiers in Her Majesty’s Armed Forces fighting an illegal war in Egypt, and ending with the downfall of her third Prime Minister, Harold Macmillan after a devastating scandal, the second season of THE CROWN “bears witness to the end of the age of deference, and ushers in the revolutionary era of the 1960s.”

Season 2 of THE CROWN debuts on Netflix on December 2.
