In the aftermath of Dr. Reese’s actions, some of the doctors and staff of CHICAGO MED have to face some decisions, while others find themselves dealing with a baby’s troubling case, and a familiar face returns.
Dr. Charles is dealing with the aftermath of Dr. Reese’s decision to use the pepper spray on a patient. With the young doctor out for a while before she can be cleared, Dr. Charles decides to go to Ms. Goodwin to make some staffing changes as the doubts about his ability to help her seem to solidify.
While Dr. Charles is dealing with the decision he’s made about Dr. Reese, Dr. Manning is troubled by the baby who was born to a heroin-addicted mother. The discovery that the baby is also addicted and going through withdrawals mobilizes the doctors, leading to some risky decisions made.
Elsewhere, with Bert and Lyla’s return to CHICAGO MED, Ms. Goodwin attempts to help her ex-husband understand what is happening to Lyla and why.
