NCIS: NEW ORLEANS Sneak Peek: Harmonic Distortion

If music is the magic of the Big Easy, then murder is its diminished 7th chord, and both are in full swing tonight on NCIS: NEW ORLEANS. When the body of Petty Officer Theo Rawlins (guest star Askia Bennett) is found with three gunshot wounds after being submerged in Lake Pontchartrain for a few days, Loretta (CCH Pounder) and Sebastian (Rob Kerkovich) find drugs (in a non-recreational amount) on the body. A wristband on Rawlins leads NCIS: NOLA to Delilah’s, a popular nightspot where Dwayne (Scott Bakula) has played piano.

Pride’s friendship with the owners, Felix (Tim Russ) and Josie (Samantha Marie Ware) dates back the days when his mom performed at the club, but that relationship could fall into discord when NCIS: NEW ORLEANS must investigate Theo’s murder.

Another relationship suffering a sour note is Lasalle (Lucas Black) and his dad. After diligently managing to avoid the senior Lasalle for several weeks, Christopher is called home to Alabama after receiving an unexpected urgent call.

Of course, if that call had come a couple of weeks ago, Pride would have suspected that Chris was ducking out for the National Championship game… Roll Tide.

Birmingham native and Broadway star, Rebecca Luker (Disney’s MARY POPPINS, NINE), guest stars as Christopher’s stepmother, Rose. Hopefully, the writers will be innovative enough to find a way to get her on stage at Delilah’s.

For visitors to the Crescent City this weekend, be sure to enjoy the Krewe du Vieux parade, featuring 17 bands and see why music is the magic of New Orleans.

Guest starring on tonight’s episode, “Ties That Bind,” are Tess Soltau, Robert Beitzel, Matthew Underwood, Brent Henry and Krystal Tomlin. “Ties That Bind” was written by Ron McGee & Katherine Beattie and directed by James Hayman.

NCIS: NEW ORLEANS airs tonight (January 23) at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT on CBS in the U.S. and on Global TV in Canada.
