NCIS Sneak Peek: He’s Got The Look

In a bit of inspired casting, the multitalented Drew Carey guest stars on NCIS tonight.

Carey takes a dramatic turn tonight as retired Marine Sergeant John Ross who falls under suspicion when cyanide is found in one of the many care packages that he sends to active-duty Marines.

Before entering the entertainment industry, Carey served 6 years in the United States Marine Corps Reserve.

In a TIME MAGAZINE interview, the actor was asked what life experiences had contributed to his success. The actor/singer/dancer/director/writer/producer reportedly replied, “The Marine Corps. It instilled a great sense of discipline that I can call on when I need to.” Sporting the signature “high and tight” hairstyle he has had since his time in the Marines, Carey looks right at home at NCIS.

Be sure to check out the photos of a young Drew Carey during his active service days that were used as the basis for Ross’s file photos.

Known for his versatile work as a comedic actor (THE DREW CAREY SHOW), improv funnyman (WHOSE LINE IS IT ANYWAY), dancer (DANCING WITH THE STARS), talkshow host (THE LATE LATE SHOW), singer (CLEVELAND ROCKS) and gameshow host (THE PRICE IS RIGHT), Carey also writes, produces and directs. His sincerity most often shines through on TPIR where he seems genuinely thrilled to give away “aaaaaa neeewwwww carrrrrrrr” to ecstatic contestants.

Known for his philanthropic efforts in helping children, veterans, animals and the ill, his turn tonight on NCIS as a former POW who spends his time helping active-duty Marines with daily care packages should be spot on.

So Drew, this one’s for you…”“Help control the pet population. Have your pets spayed or neutered.””

Other guest stars on tonight’s NCIS episode, “Handle With Care” include Jake Busey, Arienne Mandi, Jaymes Butler, Joanna Leeds, Kirk Baltz, Jake Allyn, Shaun Clay, Mike Maolucci and Tyler Parks.

“Handle With Care” was written by Scott J. Jarrett & Matthew R. Jarrett and directed by Alrick Riley.

NCIS airs tonight (March 6) on CBS in the U.S. and on Global TV in Canada at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT.
