Fox has picked up THE PASSAGE, a new drama series starring Mark-Paul Gosselaar, for its 2018-2019 season.
The show is based on Justin Cronin’s book series of the same name and is centered around a top-secret government experience with a deadly virus. 10 year old Amy Bellafonte (Saniyya Sidney) is at the center of this experiment and she’s chosen as a test subject who could also be the key to saving the world. Gosselaar plays Brad Wolfast, the federal agent who is charged with protecting Amy.
A pilot was originally filmed for the 2017-2018 season, but much of it was recast and re-shot. And while the books focus on the fact that the government experiment accidentally creates vampire-like creatures, it’s currently unknown whether the show will feature vampires or another type of create. Vincent Piazza, Brianne Howey, Jamie McShane, Caroline Chikezie and Emmanuelle Chriqui also star.
