Fox Cancels THE LAST MAN ON EARTH

Here’s some bad news for fans of THE LAST MAN ON EARTH. The series, starring Will Forte, recently aired its fourth season finale, which saw our gang of virus survivors settling down to build a new life for themselves in Mexico near an orchard. Unfortunately, the show ended with a cliffhanger that now will not be resolved: the group was confronted by an extremely large group of people who seemingly had survived the plague (that killed the majority of humanity) by hiding in an underground bunker.

Star January Jones posted about the cancellation today on Instagram. This season THE LAST MAN ON EARTH averaged just under 2 million total weekly viewers and a 0.8 demo rating (in Live+Same Day numbers). Are you bummed that we’ll never know what happened to Phil/Tandy and the gang? I am.

Update: Fox also cancelled comedy shows BROOKLYN NINE-NINE and THE MICK.
