Fox axed three comedies today (THE LAST MAN ON EARTH, BROOKLYN NINE-NINE and THE MICK) and has picked already ordered a new one (THE COOL KIDS). Now the network has picked up another comedy: REL.
Lil Rel Howery was a scene stealer in the film GET OUT last year and now he’ll be starring in REL as a prideful, self-made success. But his belief that he can achieve anything gets put to the test when he discovers that his wife is having an affair with his barber. After his divorce he tries to be a long-distance single father.
Sinbad will be starring as Howrey’s father and the series was created by Jerrod Carmichael and Mike Scully.
