PROVEN INNOCENT: First Look at Fox’s New Legal Drama Series

Danny Strong (EMPIRE) is partnering with David Elliot (FOUR BROTHERS) to bring PROVEN INNOCENT to Fox next year. The series revolves around the underdog criminal defense firm led by Madeline Scott, a woman who is determined to get justice for the wrongly convicted. This is a crusade she holds near and dear to her heart because she was wrongfully convicted at the age of 18 (along with her brother) in an infamous case that made them a household name. After she was freed, she dedicated herself to helping other people who are in the same boat. She runs the firm with her partner, Easy Boudreau, the lawyer who helped free her after her conviction. Joing them are investigator Bodie Quick and communications director Violet Bell. But Madeline’s tactics have earned her several enemies, including Gore Bellows — the prosecutor who put her behind bars and still believes she’s guilty.
