ABC Announces Its Fall 2018 Schedule

May 15, 2018 By Clarissa Leave a Comment

After NBC and Fox, ABC is the third network to unveil its fall 2018 primetime schedule. The network freed up a bit of space in its schedule by cancelling several shows, including DESIGNATED SURVIVOR and freshman series like THE CROSSING and MARVEL’s INHUMANS. Long-running series like ONCE UPON A TIME and SCANDAL also both came to an end. The network picked up 8 new shows and there will be some familiar faces coming to — or returning to — ABC in the 2018-2019 season. Nathan Fillion is starring in a new show, THE ROOKIE, while Scott Foley and Lauren Cohan are starring in WHISKEY CAVALIER, and Rachel Bilson is starring in TAKE TWO, a new show by the CASTLE creators that was picked up straight to series.

In terms of scheduling changes, the network will premiere a new season of ROSEANNE in the fall, which makes sense given the strong ratings it had as a midseason show. AGENTS of S.H.I.E.L.D. is being held for midseason and a few shows are on the move, including FRESH OFF THE BOAT and SHAMELESS moving to Friday nights.
