Nathan Fillion is returning to ABC in a new series THE ROOKIE. Fillion plays small-town guy John Nolan who experiences a life-alterting incident, which prompts him to pursue his life-long dream of becoming an LAPD officer. But he’s the force’s oldest rookie cop and there’s a lot of people on the force who thinks he’s just experiencing a mid-life crisis and doesn’t think he’ll be able to keep up with the younger people on the force, not to mention the criminals he’ll be chasing. But John is determined to prove everyone wrong.

The cast also includes Alyssa Diaz as Angela Lopez, Richard T. Jones as Sergeant Wade Grey, Titus Makin as Jackson West, Mercedes Mason as Captain Zoe Andersen, Melissa O’Neil as Lucy Chen, Afton Williamson as Talia Bishop and Eric Winter as Tim Bradford. Alexi Hawley, Mark Gordon, Nathan Fillion, Michelle Chapman and Jon Steinberg are executive producers on the series.
