Last week’s episode of THE ORIGINALS finally, properly, reunited the Mikaelson siblings. Trapped inside a mental mase, each of the siblings came to terms with Hayley’s death and forced Elijah to remember his past. But with those memories came the knowledge that he is responsible for the death of the woman he loved. Not only that, but while the siblings were trapped Hope removed the Hollow magic inside of each of them and took it into herself. This means that the Mikaelsons can finally spend extended periods of time in the same room, but what this means for Hope remains to be seen.
As a result, there’s a lot of blame flying around the Mikaelson compound in two sneak peeks from this week’s episode. Elijah is cautious around his niece, devastated for the part that he played in Hayley’s death. And Hope is not prepared to forgive her uncle, which could result in her using her magic against him. Then there’s Freya, who helped Hope in taking back the power of the Hollow. Klaus, as you can imagine, is not happy with his sister and is prepared to blame her if Hope is hurt as a result of taking on all of that dark magic. Elsewhere in the episode, Vincent, Josh and Marcel work to clean up the city and warn away the purity vampires.
