Fans attending the LEGACIES panel (watch a preview) at Comic-Con were also treated to the ROSWELL, NEW MEXICO trailer. The CW midseason series is a reboot of the original ROSWELL show, but slightly reimagined.
Jeanine Mason stars as Liz Ortecho, a biomedical researcher and the daughter of illegal immigrants. She returns to her hometown and is shocked to discover that her teenage crush, Max (Nathan Parsons) is both a police officer and an alien. Liz is also dealing with the fallout from the death of her sister — a tragedy that resonated throughout the town and left a lot of the townspeople strongly disliking the Ortecho family.
The show also stars Lily Cowles as Isobel, a fellow alien and Max’s “sister”; Michael Vlamis as Michael, an alien who wants to leave Earth behind; Tyler Blackburn as Alex Manes, a gay military veteran; Michael Trevino as Kyle, the son of the town’s sheriff; and Heather Hemmens as Liz’s best friend, Maria.
ROSWELL, NEW MEXICO will premiere midseason on The CW.
