828 is an important number for the new NBC series MANIFEST, much like the lottery numbers were a big part of LOST. With today being 8/28, NBC has released the first nine minutes of the new fall show.
MANIFEST stars Melissa Roxburgh and Josh Dallas as siblings Michaela and Ben. On an ordinary day (as Ben returns home from a vacation with his wife, kids, parents and sister), he, Michaela and his son Cal take a separate flight home from everyone else — Montego Air Flight 828. To them, it’s a normal flight, albeit with some turbluance. But what they didn’t know is that the rest of the world believed that their plane was lost and they were all presumed dead…at least until they showed up alive five years later. No one can explain where the plane went and how they didn’t age along with the rest of the world. And it’s tough for Ben and Michaela, who are reunited with their loved ones only to discover that the people in their lives had grieved for them and then moved on. The first nine minutes, which you can see below, show the fateful flight that changes the lives of Ben, Michaela and Cal forever.
MANIFEST premieres on NBC on Monday, September 24 at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT following THE VOICE.
