Season 2 of the stellar NBC comedy THE GOOD PLACE ended on a twist: instead of sending Eleanor, Chidi, Tahani and Jason to a medium place to await their fate, Michael convinced The Judge (played to perfection by Maya Rudolph) to bring them back to life and give them another chance to become good people so they could get into the Good Place on their own. We saw Eleanor being saved from the runaway grocery cart mishap that ended her life the first time and now, in a preview of the first three minutes of season 3, we get confirmation that it was Michael who saved her. In fact, we see what Michael was up to just after his friends disappeared in the Judge’s chambers — he heads to a big void between dimensions so he can access a door to Earth and then saves the lives of Eleanor, Chidi, Jason and Tahani.
THE GOOD PLACE returns for its third season with a special one-hour episode on Septebmer 27 at 8/7c on NBC.
