Michaela is going to come face-to-face with her former BBF, Lourdes, in this week’s MANIFEST. As we know, it came as a shock to Michaela that Lourdes ended up marrying her former fiancé, Jared, during the five years that Michaela was presumed dead. That’s sure to be an awkward encounter. But Melissa Roxburgh told us during an interview that “we get to meet Lourdes and Mikaela in their happier days” via flashbacks. Whether those two women will reconcile in the present is anyone’s guess.
Ben is also trying to catch up with his daughter, Olive, who has grown up a lot in his abscence. We’ll also see that Ben is hearing music that other people can’t hear and his wife, Grace, is still keeping a bit secret from him — one that Olive insists she needs to discuss with Ben.
Meanwhile, we’re going to see the fallout from the exploding plane at the end of the series premiere. The government is questioning all of the passengers back at the airport and Ben is quick to tell his sister that she needs to keep quiet about the strange things that are happening to them. They soon learn, via another passenger, that they’re not the only ones hearing voices. And we learn that it’s actually just 20 people who had the urge to see the plane, which seems to indicate that it’s only a small group of passengers who might be feeling the effects of whatever happened on the plane.
