NCIS Sneak Peek: LJG…Phone Home

A trio of familiar faces graces NCIS tonight when a 50-year-old tape surfaces in an old murder investigation. Charles Robinson (NIGHT COURT) plays inmate Ray Jennings, a Marine convicted of murder during the Viet Nam war and has been incarcerated ever since. Dee Wallace (E.T. THE EXTRA-TERRESTRIAL) portrays Claire Hall, the wife of Jennings’s dead platoon-mate who finds the audiotape that reveals that her husband was about to commit suicide, and his death probably was not a result of foul play. And Fred Dryer (star of the television series, HUNTER, and a former defensive end for the New York Giants and Los Angeles Rams) guest stars as Retired Marine Master Sergeant Thomas Fletcher.

The widow’s plea to remedy the situation puts Gibbs (Mark Harmon) in an awkward position. Grateful that Leon (Rocky Carroll) is back to his Director position letting Gibbs off the paperwork hook, Vance denies the exhumation request of Lt. Hall’s remains, leaving Gibbs fighting mad and wishing his boss had taken just a bit more time off. To complicate matters further, Jennings is hiding something and not helpful with information that might serve to free him.

Tonight’s episode, “Fragments,” guest stars Amaris Davidson, Steve Olson, Cayden Boyd, Cameron Cowperthwaite, Demetrius Hodges, Brett Gipson and Juliette Hanover. Written by Gina Lucita Monreal, “Fragments” was directed by Michael Zinberg.

NCIS airs tonight (October 23) at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT on CBS in the U.S. and on Global TV in Canada.
