Henry finds himself smack dab in the middle of an international incident in this week’s MADAM SECRETARY. He heads off to a religious freedom conference in Thailand, which already rankles Elizabeth because his ex-girlfriend will be there. With the woman recently divorced from her husband, Elizabeth is concerned she might lure Henry away. But Henry assures her that he is only deeply in love with his wife. But when the ex-girlfriend is imprisoned for condemning the monarchy, Henry comes to her aid and sparks a problem. Back at home, Elizabeth tries to help her son navigate the pressure of preparing for college and is yet again trying to convince Mike B. that now isn’t the right time to expose her desire to run for President.
