Caitlin Snow finally reunited with the father that she believed was dead in this week’s episode of THE FLASH. Unfortunately, as she soon learned, her father, Thomas, had been overtaken by his own villainous side, much like when Killer Frost would take over Caitlin. She managed to save her friends from him, but he escaped, which seems to indicate we’re heading towards a bigger showdown between father and daughter. During THE FLASH’s 100th episode red carpet last week in Vancouver, we spoke briefly with Danielle Panabaker (Caitlin Snow) about this reunion and what’s to come from this new symbiosis between Caitlin and Killer Frost.
“[Episode six] is a pretty big episode and a pretty important episode for Caitlin and her relationship with her father. Some other things are going to happen [and] we’re going to get a little bit preoccupied with Cicada and obviously the crossovers and those sorts of things. But it’s a pretty big reveal to find out that Caitlin’s father gave her her powers, which wasn’t a product of the particle accelerator explosion. So I think that is going to have an impact going forward in this season. It’s certainly not the last of her father that we’ll see.”
As for Killer Frost and Caitlin, Panabaker said “what I love about this season is that we’re finally taking the chance to explore [this relationship between them]. I felt like last season some answers came a little bit quickly to Caitlin and Killer Frost and this year we’re really taking the time to delve in and ask questions and understand a little bit more [about] their relationship and how they can co-exist.”
