BROOKLYN NINE-NINE (saved from cancellation by NBC) returns tonight for an all new season and its switch to a new network has not in any way diminished the series. It remains a delightful and amusing show with an extremely likable cast. Last season ended with Jake and Amy’s unorthodox wedding and the announcement that Captain Holt learned whether or not he got a new position. While we can’t tell you what happens with Holt, we can tell you that Jake and Amy head out on their honeymoon in the season premiere and it’s as hilarious as you would have imaged. First, their plan to head to the Berkshires is thrown away when they come into a pile of cash thanks to the wedding insurance that Amy took out. Instead, they’re heading to a lovely resort in the Caribbean.
Meanwhile, Charlie’s father and Gina’s mother are getting divorced and Charles is devastated. He recruits Gina to help get their parents back together, but she wants nothing to do with the situation. Finally, Terry tries to help Diaz with a work problem but finds himself overwhelmed.
BROOKLYN NINE-NINE returns with an all new season tonight (January 10) at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT on NBC.
