The CW at TCA: THE 100’s Final Season, Crisis on Infinite Earth Details and More

Today’s CW appearance at the annual Television Critics Association press tour brought news of the upcoming Arrowverse crossover extravaganza, details about new streaming deals, and the announcement of THE 100’s final season.

THE 100. Today it was announced that THE 100 would come to an end with the show’s upcoming seventh season, which is set to debut in 2020 at The CW’s midseason schedule. The sixth season is currently airing on Tuesday nights.

Crisis on Infinite Earths. The show’s upcoming crossover (which will be the last for ARROW, set to end this coming season) will be airing across five different episodes of the network’s superhero series and spanning two quarters (December 2019 and January 2020). The schedule is as follows:

Additionally, characters from BLACK LIGHTNING crossover.  Plus, voice actor Kevin Conroy (BATMAN: THE ANIMATED SERIES) will be making a special guest appearance as Bruce Wayne from the future.

Streaming Rights. The CW Network and its digital platforms will be the exclusive streaming home for the full current seasons of each of its new series going forward, beginning with this season’s BATWOMAN, NANCY DREW and KATY KEENE, it was announced today by Mark Pedowitz, President, The CW Network. Beginning with the 2019-2020 season, The CW will exclusively stream every episode of its new series the day after broadcast throughout the season, so viewers can catch up at any point during the season on CWTV.com and The CW app. After the season finale of each new show, the full season will be available to binge on The CW’s digital platforms until 30 days prior to the start of the next season. Once inside the 30-day window, The CW will have a rolling 5 episodes of its new shows on its streaming platforms until the following season’s episodes become available. For The CW’s returning series (premiering prior to the 2019-2020 season), the network will continue to have a rolling 5 episodes on its digital platforms the day after broadcast on the network.

BLACK LIGHTNING’s New Premiere Date. The third season premiere of The CW Network’s BLACK LIGHTNING will move to an earlier premiere date, now on Monday, October 7 (9:00-10:00pm ET/PT), paired with the second season debut of ALL AMERICAN. Initially, BLACK LIGHTNING was slated to premiere Monday, October 21 (9:00-10:00pm ET/PT).
