NCIS Sneak Peek: Proverbial Punishment

“I cried because I had no shoes until I met a man who had no feet,” reads one of the variants of an ancient proverb. Tonight, on NCIS, Gibbs (Mark Harmon) and company become embroiled in an interagency turf war during a case involving attacks on homeless veterans. As the alphabet agencies quibble over jurisdiction, the team investigates a bizarre crime scene at Arlington National Cemetery in which extra sets of feet are found with one victim. Is this some obscure path to establish dominance in an interagency turf war? Or a misguided attempt to bring them together in this era of divisiveness? Or is the motive something much deeper? What kind of point could the attacker be hoping to make?

One man, however, who leaves no doubt as to the point he is trying to make is Director Leon Vance (Rocky Carroll). Still angry at being lied to about the team’s interaction with Ziva (Cote de Pablo), Vance doles out the same punishment that many teenagers have suffered for bad behavior…McGee (Sean Murray), Bishop (Emily Wickersham) and Torres (Wilmer Valderrama) are tasked with cleaning the garage. Unlike the random teen tidying up the family garage, the trio must clean the NCIS evidence garage, making sure to preserve any newly-found clues. Will they stumble across something of substance?

Guest cast on tonight’s NCIS episode, “Somebody Else’s Shoes,” includes Joseph Lee Anderson, Dana L. Wilson, Anastasia Baranova, Devan Chandler Long, Brent Bailey, David Carpenter, Ellen Ratner, Jennifer Marshall, Jeffrey Larson, Christopher Carrington, Scott Menville and Oren Skoog. “Somebody Else’s Shoes” was written by Christopher J. Waild and directed by Michael Zinberg.

NCIS airs tonight (October 15) at 8:00 p.m. on CBS in the U.S. and on Global TV in Canada.
