Amazon Prime Canada: THE LOOMING TOWER, SNEAKY PETE & More Coming in March

February 28, 2018 By Clarissa Leave a Comment

Amazon Prime Canada is bringing four new original series to their streaming platform in March, including new shows like THE LOOMING TOWER and THE REMIX, as well as returning shows like SNEAKY PETE.

You can watch all of these shows on www.PrimeVideo.com.

The Looming Tower

On March 1, the first three episodes of The Looming Tower will be available to Prime members, with additional episodes released each week following for a total of ten episodes. Based on the Pulitzer-Prize winning book, The Looming Tower traces the rising threat of Osama Bin Laden and Al-Qaeda in the late 1990s and how the rivalry between the FBI and CIA during that time may have inadvertently set the path for the tragedy of 9/11. The series follows members of the I-49 Squad in New York and Alec Station in Washington, D.C., the counter-terrorism divisions of the FBI and CIA, respectively, as they travel the world fighting for ownership of information while seemingly working toward the same goal – trying to prevent an imminent attack on U.S. soil.

The Looming Tower stars Jeff Daniels (John O’Neill), Tahar Rahim (Ali Soufan), Wrenn Schmidt (Diane Marsh), Bill Camp (Robert Chesney), Louis Cancelmi (Vince Stuart), Virginia Kull (Kathy Shaughnessy), Ella Rae Peck (Heather), Sullivan Jones (Floyd Bennet) with Michael Stuhlbarg (Richard Clarke) and Peter Sarsgaard (Martin Schmidt).

Sneaky Pete (Season 2)

On March 9, Sneaky Pete returns to Amazon Prime Video worldwide with more suspense-packed episodes for season 2! On the verge of starting fresh, Marius is abruptly dragged back into the role of Pete Murphy when two thugs – believing he’s Pete – threaten to kill the Bernhardts if he doesn’t take them to Pete’s estranged mother, Maggie, and the millions she stole from their mysterious employer. Now Marius must tread a dangerous line to find the elusive Maggie, protect the family – who are still reeling from the death and dealings of the past week – and keep up the Pete con, all while finagling a way to ditch the thugs and keep the money for himself.

Sneaky Pete stars Giovanni Ribisi (Marius/Pete), Marin Ireland (Julia Bowman), Shane McRae (Taylor Bowman), Libe Barer (Carly Bowman), Michael Drayer (Eddie Josipovic), Peter Gerety (Otto Bernhardt) and Margo Martindale (Audrey Bernhardt).

The Remix

Also on March 9, members can enjoy the first two episodes of The Remix, with one added episode airing each week following for a total of 10 episodes. The Remix, Amazon Prime Video’s first ever-unscripted India Prime Original series, is all set to give an ultimate spin to Indian music! On this music competition show, DJs and singers pair up to remix songs, giving their own flavor to popular Bollywood hits. The show features 10 teams who give it their all to put out riveting performances to impress the celebrity judges: Sunidhi Chauhan, Amit Trivedi and Nucleya!

The Dangerous Book for Boys

On March 30, members can binge all six episodes of The Dangerous Book for Boys. Executive produced by Emmy-winning Bryan Cranston (Malcolm in the Middle), Greg Mottola (Superbad), James Degus (Philip K. Dick’s Electric Dreams) and Michael Glouberman (2 Broke Girls), The Dangerous Book for Boys is a family show inspired by the book of the same name written by Conn and Hal Iggulden.

The series follows the McKenna family, as they cope with the untimely passing of Patrick (Chris Diamantopoulos, Good Girls Revolt), their patriarch, and a whimsical inventor who touched the lives of everyone who knew him. His death has left the family reeling, but hope appears in the form of a book called The Dangerous Book for Boys that Patrick created as a handbook to help his three sons. The book is a how-to guide for childhood that inspires fantasies for his youngest son, Wyatt (Gabriel Bateman, Lights Out). While in his fantasy world, Wyatt reconnects with his father and learns life skills that that help him navigate the real world. The series also stars Erinn Hayes (Kevin Can Wait), Drew Logan Powell (Rockaway), Kyan Zielinski (The Lunchbox Brigade) and guest stars Swoosie Kurtz (Mike & Molly) and Luke Matheny (Gortimer Gibbon’s Life on Normal Street).
