Two words: Hulu rocks (Unless of course you live outside of the United States which is an entirely different story for an entirely different day). From their kick-ass ad campaign to the best selection of current and past television shows — not to mention movies, including documentaries — the folks at Hulu have made themselves the best destination on the web for people lookin’ to kill a few hours. The site allows you to throw shows into a personal que, subscribe to favorite shows and — best of all — stop watching a show and, upon returning, have it pick up right where you left off, even if you don’t get back to it until days later. Plus, where else can you watch anything from 21 JUMP STREET to the animated RETURN TO THE PLANET OF THE APES? Yeah, like I said: Hulu rocks.

TCA Live Blog Day 1: CBS Executive Session
9:05AM: Attending the TCA Press tour just got really, really awkward, courtesy of a blogger hit piece by former Man-Crush SFGate TV critic Tim Goodman.
9:11AM: A critic starts off the Q&A with CBS Entertainment President Nina Tassler by referring to her as “Nancy.” Score one for the bloggers!
9:15AM: It doesn’t take long for Tassler to take an initial shot across NBC’s bow with regards to how THE JAY LENO SHOW might-or-might-not-do, “Whatever ratings they [NBC] get they’re going to declare victory anyways so it really doesn’t matter!”
9:18AM: Tassler on FLASHPOINT, “We have nine more original episodes that we’re going to air in-season. It was a great experience and we certainly look forward to more arrangements like that. THE BRIDGE is coming, we haven’t decided when. But it’s been great for us.”
9:19AM: Eureka! Tassler just shared the secret of successful television while discussing the failure of HARPER’S ISLAND. “The challenge is finding something that can appeal to a niche audience and have a broad appeal. HARPER’S ISLAND was very specific, very niche and just didn’t grab onto the bigger audience.” In other-words, unlike on NBC, a hit show on CBS requires a mass audience.
9:20AM: Tassler’s reaction to NBC declaring Conan the “King of Late Night” two weeks into his tenure, “”Really!? Really!? It seemed premature.” Adding. “I have no desire to do that,” when baited by a critic as to whether she’d like to prognosticate on Conan’s future.
Comic Con 2009: A TV Addict’s Guide
Ladies and Gentleman start your engines! Because in T-Minus 12 hours, your very own TV Addict — if all goes according to plan thank-you-very-much-Air-Canada — will be touching down in beautiful and sunny San Diego for Comic Con 2009.
Yup, it’s that time again. Those magical four days in July when this TV Addict braves the Twihards, Trekkies and TORCHWOOD fans [Oh My!] to bring you live coverage of all of your favorite shows (Unless of course you favorite show is LOST, in which case let me apologize in advance because Hall H simply ain’t gonna happen.) That said, I do expect to be interviewing quite a few of your favorite small screen stars, in addition to attending some pretty exciting parties and panels. The latter of which I’ve highlighted in yellow after the jump.
As is always the case, be sure you’re following the TV Addict on twitter for the latest up-to-date-news (Borderline obnoxious tweets that will have you wishing you were in San Diego come free-of-charge!) Oh, and if the site isn’t updated by 5PM Thursday, send help — as the odds are fairly good a stampede of overzealous Twilight fans trampled me while attempting to chase after Robert Pattinson’s limo.

CBS Unveils Their Fall 2009 Schedule
CBS, the network that has yet to meet a procedural it couldn’t turn into a ratings smash continued to play to their strength this morning by announcing the addition of three new ones to their 2009 Fall schedule. Joining THE MENTALIST (which is moving to Thursday at 10PM), CRIMINAL MINDS, COLD CASE and their 37 CSI spin-offs is the NCIS spinoff titled LOS ANGELES, the Juliana Margulies legal drama THE GOOD WIFE and THREE RIVERS — a medical drama starring some guy [Alex O’Loughlin] who fans may remember from that Vampire show MOON-something-or-other (Now, will you stop emailing us to Save MOONLIGHT!?)
On the comedy front comes the much buzzed about Jenna Elfman laugher ACCIDENTALLY ON PURPOSE and a shuffling of the deck chairs on Monday night with HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER moving to 8PM and THE BIG BANG THEORY being awarded CBS’ most coveted time-slot, the big 9:30PM slot following TWO AND A HALF MEN.
