The new apocalyptic series REVOLUTION is premised on the idea of how humanity survives in a world without electricity. Yet the teaser REVOLUTION has dangled since the beginning is that the power is not entirely gone and there are those who have the ability to turn it back on. One such person is Rachel Matheson (Elizabeth Mitchell). Just what has Charlie and Danny’s absentee mother been up to in the intervening 10 years since they last saw her is an even bigger mystery. But as Rachel demonstrated quite capably in the mid-season finale, with the right device she cannot only turn the power back on, she can amplify it. But that’s the bad news, for she promptly handed it over to Colonel Monroe (David Lyons), who immediately used it reactivate his military weaponry to use on our heroes as they ran to escape his growth wrath. In a recent press conference call, star Elizabeth Mitchell and executive producer Eric Kripke shared what thorny situation lie ahead for Rachel, her children, their uncle Miles (Billy Burke) and everyone else who has the misfortune to land in Monroe’s crosshairs. HOMELAND! SCANDAL! 30 ROCK! DOWNTON ABBEY! THE LA COMPLEX! The TV Addict Week in Rewind

Line Of The Week: “Wanna touch it?” Only SCANDAL could make paying homage to the Constitution sound dirty.
Line Of The Week [Runner Up]: Anything that came out of the mouth of Jane Krakowski. Suffice it to say, when 30 ROCK does close up shop in early 2013 we’re fairly confident that we’re going to miss Jenna Maroney most of all.
Best Lie: Thanks to her faux immunity idol, Abi miraculously managed to get through yet another tribal council on #SURVIVOR.
Least Plausible Death: There were more holes in the HOMELAND plot which led to the vice president’s demise than can be found on your typical golf course.
Most Premature Birth: TLC will air what promises to be the most fact-free special in history when it offers up “experts” weighing in on Kate Middleton’s pregnancy in WILLIAM AND KATE: A ROYAL BABY STORY.

Broken: Has ONCE UPON A TIME Lost Its Magic?

From the moment that Emma broke the Storybrooke spell, we knew that nothing would ever be the same in ONCE UPON A TIME again. The whole premise viewers tuned in for was to see how a young woman was persuaded to come to a town where all the inhabitants were fairytale characters – with one significant twist: none of them knew it. It was simultaneously hilarious and intriguing to see Emma encounter each character and guess who they really were from all the classic fairytales. It was also fun watching the dubious Emma slowly discover that things were indeed not as they seemed on the surface in Storybrooke. So the lure of the show was in the discovery. We were intoxicated and addicted to solving the mysteries along with Emma. [Read more…]
BEAUTY AND THE BEAST: Jay Ryan and Kristin Kreuk Preview a Tale of Mystery, Love, and Human Mutation

Some heroes are born and some are made. For Vincent Keller (Jay Ryan), he was a man drawn to be more than he was, both as a surgeon and a soldier; but he never foresaw that he would one day be transformed to something not quite human. Because heroism was in his DNA, that made him a natural candidate for a terrifying government experiment – one that he had no knowledge of until he began to change. Everyone dreams of being faster, stronger and to have special abilities; yet the day one finds they are so blessed is the day they may also discover they have been cursed. For Vincent, that day was a nightmare. The government he had so blindly trusted had altered his DNA, transforming him into the ultimate weapon – but the price he paid was that he was no longer entirely human anymore; and Vincent Keller, much to his horror, had become a monster. The Showrunner Sales Pitch: Eric Kripke Offers Up Five Reasons Why You Should Consider Tuning into Tonight’s Series Premiere of REVOLUTION

If the definition of insanity is repeating the same mistake over and over expecting different results, consider us crazy for NBC’s REVOLUTION. Seriously. Forget the countless hours wasted watching a long line of failed LOST wannabes (See: SURFACE, THE EVENT, INVASION, FLASHFORWARD, V, among many many others), because REVOLUTION showrunner Eric Kripke (who created the series alongside J.J. Abrams and Jon Favreau) recently took a few minutes poolside at a Television Critics Association Press Tour Party in Los Angeles to present his fairly convincing argument as to why skeptics (not to mention SUPERNATURAL fans) should consider tuning in to tonight’s series premiere.
