Jenny’s This Week on TV

December 3, 2006 By theTVaddict 4 Comments

Well, I’ll warn you now that this week is pretty darn empty, except for freakin THURSDAY, which is PACKED! lol Get ready for multiple reruns people! Hope you have some stuff saved up to watch!

SUNDAY

There isn’t much new on Sunday. There are a few things on, including the CBS lineup. But first, check out the new episode of Reba on the CW network at 7:30/6:30c. Kyra moves back in with Reba, who catches her drinking; Brock and Barbra Jean confess that they let Kyra have an occasional beer in their house. Oh man, Reba is gonna go ballistic! Especially after Cheyenne’s alcohol problem last season!

Then check out the afformentioned CBS lineup, starting with The Amazing Race at 8/7c. The teams leave Morocco and immediately hit a detour; an argument breaks out when one racer loses faith in a partner; one team is eliminated. I can not WAIT to see the blondes go home. Hopefully it’ll be this week!

Then is Cold Case at 9/8c. Lilly and the team reopen a 1968 case involving the killing of a cop suspected of being gay. It’s hard even now for a cop to be gay, I’m sure, let alone nearly 40 years ago!

Finally at 10/9c, you can catch a new ep of Without a Trace. A young mother with less than a month to live disappears after leaving a gathering of cancer patients. Maybe she’ll have gone to try a new treatment and it’ll cure her? Very sad. 🙁

If you are a fan of Noah Wyle (formerly of ER), be sure and catch the tv movie, The Librarian: Return to King Solomon’s Mine on TNT. This globe-trotting action-thriller sends Flynn on a journey to uncover the fabled mines of King Solomon and a secret about his own family’s past. He’s joined by Gabrielle Anwar as a woman whose academic skills surpass even his own. Noah Wyle is YUMMY. 🙂

Also on tonight:

  • NFL Football *Sports*
  • BCS Selection Show *Sports*
  • 7th Heaven *New Episode*

MUST SEE TV Returns Tonight

November 30, 2006 By theTVaddict Leave a Comment

The night sweeps ends is generally the start of December repeats, endless holiday specials and this TV Addict curled up in a ball, shedding a tear or two because we won’t be seeing new episodes of many of our favourite shows until January. But thanks to the return of MUST SEE TV on NBC tonight, rival networks are not taking any chances. So my fellow TV addicts, turn that frown upsidedown, set your PVR to record, order a pizza, and enjoy the most jam-packed night of television in recent memory.

On NBC, we have (as the giant image above alludes to) the return of MUST SEE TV. Tonight’s episode of THE OFFICE (8:30 NBC) is written by none other then the two creative geniuses who originated the British version, Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant. The episode, entitled “The Convict” revolves around Michael learning that one of his employees once spent time in prison (my money’s on Creed).

Following THE OFFICE is possibly my favourite comedy ever, SCRUBS (9PM NBC). In the brilliant sixth season premiere we watch as JD tries to deal with the fact he’s gotten his girlfriend (guest star Elizabeth Banks) pregnant. Don’t miss the opening five minutes, or you’ll be missing a surprise trip to Vegas, the Blue Man Group, a scene in a Vegas wedding chapel and the entire gang at Sacred Heart grooving to the tune of ‘NSYNC’s Bye Bye Bye.

Closing out the night is 30 ROCK (9PM NBC). While the show started off a bit rough around the edges, it has definitely grown on this TV addict thanks to standout performances by Alec Baldwin and Tina Fey. In tonight’s episode Liz finds herself getting back with her ex-boyfriend in order to spice up her boring life.

Jenny’s This Week on TV

November 26, 2006 By theTVaddict 6 Comments

Ahh, what a crazy holiday vacation. I am SOOO glad to be home! Sorry for running late this week. Let’s see what’s in store for us!

SUNDAY

I know most of you aren’t fans of 7th Heaven, but for those that are, check out the new ep on the CW Network at 8/7c on Sunday. When Ruthie makes an inappropriate comment on the way home from Scotland, airport security takes Eric, Annie and Ruthie in for questioning; Mac visits Sandy to find out whether she is still interested in Simon. Should be a good ep!

Then from 9/8c-11/10c on CBS, catch Alicia Silverstone in the tv movie Candles on Bay Street, which is based on a novel by K.C. McKinnon. Feelings from the past re-emerge for a married man after his old high-school sweetheart returns to town with her son. Get into the holiday spirit while you watch!

If you are a fan of Boston Legal, don’t miss the new episode on a special night tonight at 10/9c! Alan Shore helps Jerry Espenson, whose client stands accused of murdering her ex-girlfriend; Lincoln resurfaces at the firm, taking a peculiar interest in Shirley.

Also on tonight:

  • NFL Football *Sports*
  • American Dad *New Episode*
  • Desperate Housewives *New Episode*
  • Dexter *New Episode*
  • Extreme Makeover: Home Edition *New Episode*

Jenny’s This Week on TV

November 19, 2006 By theTVaddict Leave a Comment

Busy weekend ahead! Sick husband, lots to do before Thanksgiving, when we head down to Oklahoma to visit my family. What are your plans? Not a lot of time so will get right to it!

SUNDAY
On Sunday, why not spend the night watching some comedy on FOX? At 8/7c, watch The Simpsons. Lisa helps Moe become a published poet, but when a literary conference features him, he takes all the credit for his success.

Then at 8:30/7:30c, stay for American Dad when Steve’s new relationship with his girlfriend gives Francine empty nest syndrome & Roger tries to enroll in college with Haley.

At 9/8c, stay for Family Guy. Lois volunteers to teach a sex-ed class at the high school when she learns that Chris has some incorrect information on the subject.

Then finally at 9:30/8:30c, the only one of the 4 I watch is The War at Home. A “Girls Gone Wild” video upsets Dave; Larry tries to replace swear words with the word “love.” This show is so wrong that it’s too funny not to laugh.

I can’t forget to mention the season premiere of Reba on the CW network! There are 2 new episodes tonight. FINALLY! 🙂 In the first, called Let’s Get Physical, Barbra Jean shows off her new sleek figure and staunch dedication to the gym, which Brock fears is about spending time with her male trainer. In the second, called Just Business, Houston’s premier real estate agent (Tim Meadows) contacts Reba and Van for a meeting, exciting Reba but concerning Van that he will be her assistant. These start at 7/6c, not the normal primetime hour, so be aware! (Unless you are here in Kansas, and then you have to catch it at 10/9c after college basketball.)

At 10/9c, flip over to ABC for Brothers & Sisters. Sarah, Tommy and Kevin find William’s most shocking secret when they set out in search of his lost treasure; Justin makes a startling revelation about his enlistment when he returns from the hospital.

Also on tonight:

  • 7th Heaven *New Episode*
  • Cold Case *New Episode*
  • Desperate Housewives *New Episode*
  • Dexter *New Episode*
  • Extreme Makeover: Home Edition *New Episode*
  • NFL Football *Sports*
  • The Amazing Race *New Episode*
  • Without a Trace *New Episode*
  • America’s Next Top Model *Repeat*

Jenny’s This Week on TV

November 12, 2006 By theTVaddict 2 Comments

Big news again in tv land this week, what with the shows that were given full season orders and the ones pulled from the schedule. And I’m pissed off that Kidnapped is gone. I didn’t get to watch ep 6 while it was on NBC.com and now ep 7 is up, so… Oh well. Guess I’ll stop watching. No point now. :-/ So let’s see what’s on this week that will likely get cancelled before we have a chance to get into it even more! *hrumph*

SUNDAY
On Sunday, watch The Amazing Race on CBS at 8/7c. A challenging Roadblock requires players to stay calm in a claustrophobic setting; one team jumps in front of another in the taxi line. So last week’s big deal about pairing the teams together wasn’t all that exciting. Here’s hoping this week keeps em hopping!

At 9/8c, stick around for Cold Case. The death of a postal carrier leads to the discovery of several bags of undelivered mail, one of which contains key evidence in a 1975 missing-persons case. Last week’s episode was really good, imo, with the brother admitting he was molested as a kid! Wow…

At 10/9c, stick around for Without a Trace, again on CBS. A woman (Susanna Thompson) takes Jack hostage while he is under cover at an illegal poker club; the woman, a dangerous acquaintance of a missing 20-something man, believes that Jack was hired to kill her. The previews showed Jack really getting worked over and beaten up. Hope he isn’t too hurt tonight!

Also on tonight:

  • 7th Heaven *New Episode*
  • American Dad *New Episode*
  • Brothers & Sisters *New Episode*
  • Desperate Housewives *New Episode*
  • Dexter *New Episode*
  • Extreme Makeover: Home Edition *New Episode*
  • Family Guy *New Episode*
  • NFL Football *Sports*
  • The Simpsons *New Episode*
  • The War at Home *New Episode*
  • America’s Next Top Model *Repeat*

Jenny’s This Week on TV

November 4, 2006 By theTVaddict 8 Comments

I’m so tired. Long week in the life of Jenny. Hopefully this week will go better. Let’s see what tv I have in store to help me with that!

SUNDAY
On Sunday, I’ll be watching The Amazing Race again this week at 8/7c. A new twist to the game shocks the racers and prompts teams to join forces; the racers struggle to complete an unappetizing task of consuming a local delicacy. I think the Cho brothers have to pair up with the blond bitches. I’m OOOOH so not looking forward to that! lol

At 9/8c, switch over to ABC and check out Desperate Housewives. A hostage situation at a supermarket changes everyone’s lives. Like last season, I am not watching this season either. But for those that are, what do you think happens? I’ve heard someone gets shot, and I’ve heard differing opinions on who people hope/think it will be. What about you guys?

At 10/9c, stick around for Brothers & Sisters, again on ABC. Kitty and Warren’s weekend in the country turns out to be anything but quiet; unable to conceive, Tommy and Julia consider unorthodox alternatives. For those Everwood fans, Treat Williams is back and I’m hearing as good as ever. I love me some Dr Brown!

Also on tonight:

  • 7th Heaven *New Episode*
  • American Dad *New Episode*
  • Cold Case *New Episode*
  • Dexter *New Episode*
  • Extreme Makeover: Home Edition *New Episode*
  • Family Guy *New Episode*
  • NFL Football *Sports*
  • The Simpsons *New Episode*
  • The War at Home *New Episode*
  • Without A Trace *New Episode*
  • America’s Next Top Model *Repeat*

Jenny’s This Week on TV

October 29, 2006 By theTVaddict 5 Comments

Hi everybody! I’m SO ready for new episodes! There were too many reruns last week. Thankfully, that isn’t the case this week. 🙂 I was scared to find out this past week that there are a BUNCH of other people who watch as much or more tv as I do. *gulp* That is simply frightening! lol So let’s see what’s on this week why don’t we!

SUNDAY
On Sunday, it’s going to be a CBS night for me. I’ll be watching The Amazing Race again this week at 8/7c. One team books airline tickets for another team further back in the line, causing tempers to flare; car troubles bring one team up short and they watch the other teams pass them by. You just KNOW that the airline tickets thing is going to involve the bitchy blondes and the single moms. I swear, it’s like having children and watching them constantly bickering with each other! I was SOO happy last week when the brothers let the Kentucky husband/wife team grab the fast forward chance and then even starting last, came back to not be in last place! I love them! Who is your favorite?

Wow, talk about major shakeups in tv land this month, what with the cancellations of Runaway & Smith and the full-season pickups for Close to Home, Brothers & Sisters, Heroes, Jericho, Shark & Ugly Betty! Medium is returning mid-November, Vanished finishing up its 13 episode run on Fridays then out and Kidnapped on Saturdays starting this past Saturday and my favorite show, Veronica Mars, keeps growing in numbers. Yay! So what’s on this week? I’m going to try something slightly different this week so let’s check it out!

Hi guys! As you read this, I’m out of state helping my in laws move. Going to be recording shows Sunday & Monday, so pray we don’t lose power! *cry* lol Let’s see what’s in store for us this week!

Sunday is a great night again this week for sports fans. They get new games of NFL Football: Oakland Raiders at Denver Broncos and MLB Baseball: New York Mets at St. Louis Cardinals. If you don’t like sports, you can watch new episodes of 7th Heaven (Rev. Camden gets propositioned!) & Runaway on the CW Network or Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, Desperate Housewives & Brothers & Sisters on ABC, and my personal picks for the night: The Amazing Race, Cold Case & Without a Trace on CBS. On The Amazing Race, an impromptu alliance ends when the teams try to ditch each other at a connecting airport. HAHA Love that show. If you are a country music fan, be sure and watch Extreme Makeover: Home Edition again this week (even more so!), as sexy family man Tim McGraw is going to be on, inviting the family to attend one of his concerts. I’m hoping we’ll get to see him perform! I love him! If you are lucky enough to get Showtime, be sure and watch Dexter at 10/9c. I’ve heard it’s pretty good!

Hidey Ho TV fans! (If you are a real tv fan, you’ll recognize the reference I just made to a show I watched years ago. 😉 ) For those that didn’t get it… I was Wilson on Home Improvement! I loved that show! 🙂 Let’s see what’s on This Week on TV shall we?

Sunday is a great night for sports fans. They get new games of NFL Football: Pittsburgh Steelers at San Diego Chargers and MLB Baseball: Detroit Tigers at New York Yankees. If you are like me and don’t watch much sports on tv, there is still plenty on tonight! You can check out the last new episodes on Sundays, (since it starts new episodes next week on Monday!) of Everybody Hates Chris, All of Us, Girlfriends and The Game on the CW Network or new episodes of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, Desperate Housewives & Brothers & Sisters on ABC, and The Amazing Race, Cold Case & Without a Trace on CBS. On The Amazing Race, teams race through Vietnam and someone gets injured, forcing their team of two to stop for medical attention. If you are a country music fan, be sure and watch Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, as Alan Jackson is performing!
