SUPERNATURAL Preview: Aliens? Or… the Chitters?

April 6, 2016 By Clarissa Leave a Comment

supernatural

Crowley found himself a Hand of God in this week’s SUPERNATURAL — the Horn of Joshua. And he was willing to turn it over to the Winchesters to defeat Amara if they helped him remove Lucifer from Cas and lock him back up. Unfortunately, without Rowena they didn’t think they had a shot of trapping Lucifer again. Instead, they wanted to use him to help defeat Amara and then promised to find a way to trap him. But it turned out that Rowena had a back-up spell to keep her alive when Casifer snapped her neck and now she had aligned herself with Amara and was helping her heal after the angel smiting. Meanwhile, Casifer headed up to Heaven to establish himself as the new God and, when Amara made a display of her power, he proved that he’s needed.

The Winchesters and Crowley reunited with Rowena and summoned Casifer, trapping him in a ring of holy fire. Casifer was willing to use the Horn to defeat Amara, but they tried to suppress Lucifer so they could speak with Cas. It didn’t really work, so Crowley went inside Casifer’s head to talk with the trapped angel. There, he was beaten up by the real Lucifer as Cas chilled and watched TV. But Lucifer’s hold on Cas was too strong and, when the wards wore off, he stole the Horn and tried to kill the brothers, but Amara interrupted and inadvertently saved them. Casifer tried to kill Amara with the Horn but couldn’t, and so Amara spirited him off. And now Amara thinks Lucifer might be of some use to her — she wants to use Lucifer to draw out God.

SUPERNATURAL is on hiatus for two weeks and when it returns the Winchesters will be fighting a *very* strange new creature — the Chitters. Check out the promo below.

SUPERNATURAL returns with all new episodes on April 27 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.

SUPERNATURAL Sneak Peek: Dethroned, But Not Out

April 6, 2016 By Clarissa Leave a Comment

supernatural

The Winchesters reunite with Crowley in this week’s SUPERNATURAL and the former King of Hell is spitting nails about his current situation. When the brothers criticize his current dwellings, he lets them know how difficult life has been for him since Lucifer was freed (He was kept in a cage! Demons are hunting him constantly!). In other words, Crowley is *not happy* with Lucifer. Which, honestly, isn’t all that surprising because the Winchesters first met him in season 5 when he was attempting to prevent the Apocalypse. Even back then he didn’t want Lucifer to get free.

But Crowley didn’t just call Sam and Dean to complain about his new digs (as amusing as they find that). He’s got a proposition: the only hope they all have to defeat Amara is to use a Hand of God. And he’s got access to another one: the Hand of Joshua. Well, Sam and Dean are interested, but they want to know what Crowley wants in return.

Elsewhere in the episode (watch a preview), Casifer decides to return home to Heaven and seems comfortable taking over now that all of his archangel siblings and his father are MIA.

SUPERNATURAL Photos: A New Weapon to Fight Amara

March 31, 2016 By Clarissa 2 Comments

supernatural

Lucifer is taking a little trip home on an upcoming episode of SUPERNATURAL. No, we don’t mean the devil is returning to Hell. He’s going the other way this time: back to Heaven. Since he hasn’t been home since he was cast out of Heaven by God, we suspect that he’s eager to return. And he’s also eager to assert himself into the power structure in Heaven. Given that he’s the only archangel that’s still alive and/or walking free, it’s no surprise that he’s making a power play for his former home. But you can probably imagine how the remaining angels will react when the non-prodigal son returns to the homestead, especially now that he’s wearing an angelic vessel that they already dislike.

Meanwhile, back on Earth, Crowley gets in touch with the Winchesters and tells them that he has a way to take down Amara. Has the King of Hell found himself another Hand of God weapon? According to the preview for the episode, they’re going to need the Horn of Joshua.

SUPERNATURAL Preview: A Trip Home and a New Plan

March 30, 2016 By Clarissa Leave a Comment

supernatural2

Sam and Dean went werewolf hunting on this week’s SUPERNATURAL when some hikers went missing. They found the wolves and the hostages, but Sam ended up being shot by one of the werewolves just before the fight was over. Desperate to save his brother, Dean tried to get himself, Sam and the hostages to safety as the rest of the pack were on their tail. But one of the hostages felt that the injured Sam was slowing them down, so he suffocated and killed him.

Dean temporarily left Sam’s body to get the hostages to safety, but he was tasered by their rescuing Sheriff before making it back to his brother and ended up in a hospital. And that’s when he came up with his plan: he would kill himself in order to save Sam. After he OD-ed on some pills, Billie stopped by to reap Dean. He wanted Sam back and offered himself in his brother’s place, but Billie had some news: Sam wasn’t actually dead. He had woken up and was trying to hide his bleeding and wounded body from the werewolves who were tracking him. Fortunately, Dean was revived by a doctor and Sam (despite losing a copious amount of blood) made his way to the hospital and saved his brother from the other hostage-turned-werewolf, who tried to kill him.

Meanwhile, on the next episode of SUPERNATURAL, Lucifer takes a trip up to Heaven to revisit his old stomping grounds before God cast him down into Hell. We’re guessing the remaining angels won’t be so happy to have him around, but are they strong enough to deal with him? Elsewhere, Crowley calls up the Winchester brothers with some news: he has a way to defeat Amara. And it seems to involve another Hand of God.

March 30, 2016 By Clarissa Leave a Comment

supernatural

Sam Winchester will be bested in a fight in this week’s SUPERNATURAL, but his opponent isn’t fighting fair.

The Winchesters are on the hunt of two werewolves who have kidnapped some hostages. When they track them down, an all-out brawl ensues. Fortunately, Sam and Dean get the upper hand. But then a down-and-out werewolf picks up a discarded gun and shoots Sam in the stomach. Naturally, Dean is terrified for his brother.

The elder Winchester manages to get Sam and the hostages out, but then they’re running for their lives as a pack of werewolves give chase to get some revenge. And what about Billie the reaper who has, according to the preview for the episode, come to reap someone. Is Sam at death’s door?

Watch a sneak peek below for an all new SUPERNATURAL airing tonight (March 30) at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.

SUPERNATURAL Preview: Winchesters vs. Werewolves

March 23, 2016 By Clarissa Leave a Comment

supernatural

Bobby and Rufus returned in this week’s SUPERNATURAL via flashbacks. Sam and Dean caught wind of a case that looked to be a simple ghost haunting after a resident of a house was injured, while Bobby and Rufus had investigated the same case pre-Apocalypse. But both sets of men soon realized that they weren’t hunting a ghost, they were hunting something else: a soul eater. Bobby and Rufus had trapped the soul eater originally, but it was released again when someone new bought the house. Dean and Sam figured out a way to kill the creature for good and Dean traveled to an “in between” space to do it, which is where he briefly saw Bobby again. By the end of the episode, Bobby headed off to try and capture Lilith (season 4) with the brothers, while the brothers headed off to solve another soul eater case.

In the next episode of SUPERNATURAL, Sam and Dean go head-to-head against a pair of werewolves who have captured two victims. Just when it appears that the Winchester brothers are about to win the fight, one of the werewolves shoots Sam (which I’m sure we can all agree is cheating!). Dean manages to bundle his injured brother and the victims out of the house, but then the little group is on the run because now a pack of werewolves is on their tail and they’re looking to kill them all. And Reaper Billie stops by…to reap Sam? Yikes!

SUPERNATURAL Sneak Peek: Reunited and it Feels So Good!

March 23, 2016 By Clarissa Leave a Comment

supernatural

Rufus and Bobby are teaming up again to hunt a ghost on SUPERNATURAL. But before you get your hopes up, the two old hunters haven’t been raised from the dead (no matter how much we lobby The CW!). What we’re going to see in this week’s return episode are flashbacks to a time before the Apocalypse when Rufus called Bobby for help with a case.

Meanwhile, in the present, Sam and Dean are investigating the same case that their predecessors had looked into years before. But it appears that Rufus and Bobby didn’t get rid of the creature because it has struck again and now the Winchesters are determined to stop it for good.

SUPERNATURAL Photos: Bobby and Rufus Return!

March 21, 2016 By Clarissa Leave a Comment

supernatural

If you still miss Bobby and Rufus on SUPERNATURAL (and how could you not?) then you’re not going to want to miss this week’s return episode. Because Jim Beaver and Steven Williams will be making guest appearances….in flashbacks, at least.

We’ve only seen Rufus and Bobby work cases together a few times back in the earlier seasons, so “Safe House” will be a treat. In the present, Sam and Dean learn about a dangerous creature that was accidentally released in an old house, attacking a mother and her child and leaving both in a coma. The Winchesters discover that Bobby and Rufus once tracked the same creature back before they died, so the Winchesters “look to the past” to come up with a plan before the creature hurts anyone else.

Browse through photos below for the March 23 return of SUPERNATURAL airing at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.
