So, how exactly does she plan on keeping all three balls in the air while managing to maintain the storytelling success that has been the hallmark of the past few seasons of the mother ship (Read: TVD)? See for yourself, after the jump. [Read more…]

Ian Somerhalder Previews Tonight’s Season Finale of THE VAMPIRE DIARIES, Admits to Being Uneasy About Losing Actors Joseph Morgan, Claire Holt and Daniel Gillies to THE ORIGINALS
On Wednesday afternoon Ian Somerhalder [Pictured above left with you every own TV Addict] was in Toronto to talk about changing the world. As luck would have it, when Somerhalder isn’t shooting his hit CW series THE VAMPIRE DIARIES, you won’t find him living the actor’s life on some beach somewhere. Rather, he’s dedicated himself to travelling the world and talking about ways in which to make it better. Case in point, holding court at the Trump International Hotel to promote his association with CREE Lighting and how their energy-efficient LED Bulb will change the way everyone uses light.
And while we here at theTVaddict.com do solemlly swear to dedicate a future post to Somerhalder’s admirable efforts to change our world for the better through his self-titled foundation, there if a far more pressing issue at hand. Namely, tonight’s fourth season finale of THE VAMPIRE DIARIES. But just what did the well-spoken and passionate actor/activist have to say about the episode? See for yourself, after the jump. Previewing THE VAMPIRE DIARIES’ Very Special Prom Episode “Pictures of You”
Ever since Elena was turned into a vampire, the race has been on to find out if there was a cure to restore her humanity. Alas, that deadly search cost her the life of her brother Jeremy, and introduced a whole new big bad villain Silas, who will stop at nothing to get the cure for himself for his own nefarious purposes. So it is only too fitting that this week’s episode is themed around the song of the same name “Pictures of You by the music group The Cure. Clever.
The whole goal of this special prom episode was reminding Elena of her human life and finding a way to convince her to turn back on her emotions, for vampire without emotions is a threat to everyone. But Elena is bound and determined to preserve her carefree, emotionless vampire life. She does not see the need to be cured or to have human emotions back. She is having too much fun running around killing to her heart’s content, without regret.
Prom would normally be the epitome of all things great during high school. A girl attends with the boy of her dreams and wears a dress that memorializes that crowning moment for the rest of her life. It is a night literally worth remembering. If only Elena cared. Even attending with two dreamy guys and wearing the best dress holds no real pleasure for her. Elena is merely going through the motions in order to achieve her own twisted goals. So what is Elena dreaming of on prom night? You’ll have to see it to believe it. [Read more…]
Ian Somerhalder Reveals the Difference Between LOST and VAMPIRE DIAIRES Fans
Ian Somerhalder likes it both ways.
Playing both good and bad guys (Really, what did you think we were referring to?), he’ll be proving that while only the good die young, they don’t necessarily stay that way by returning as LOST’s Boone, while continuing to sink his teeth into the anti-Edward villain, Damon Salvatore, on THE VAMPIRE DIARIES.
“Amazing and so fun,” is how Somerhalder described the opportunity to pull double duty this season at the recent Television Critics Association Press Tour in Pasadena. “To be able to have the ability to work on both shows, and I say this humbly, two of the best shows on television right now is really surreal, so totally surreal.”
