This just in, new episode photos and previews from the February 14th second season return of HOUSE OF CARDS. Direct from Netflix, “In the second season, Francis (Spacey) and Claire (Wright) Underwood continue their ruthless rise to power as threats mount on all fronts. Zoe Barnes (Kate Mara, “American Horror Story”), an up-and-coming reporter and Francis’s former paramour, is inching closer to the truth about his crimes. President Walker’s (Michel Gill, “The Good Wife”) billionaire confidante Raymond Tusk (Gerald McRaney, “Southland”) demands that Francis reciprocate political favors or face retribution. And Claire must confront the increasing glare of the spotlight as it eats away at her and Francis’s once private existence. Year in Review: Top 10 TV Shows of 2013

Like each year before, it is excruciatingly difficult picking out a Top 10 list of TV shows. In fact, it seemed that television critics everywhere found creative ways to go around the traditional Top 10 list. They broke down TV shows by categories: best new shows, best returning shows, best comedies, best dramas, best cable, best broadcast, or any other way they could carve out the television pie into smaller pieces. Then some just gave in and posted lists of their Top 20 or Top 30 shows of the year.

For 2013, the only downside to too much great TV is that a Top 10 list is virtually impossible to come up with.

So in trying to come up with our Top 10 lists at TheTVaddict.com, we allowed each of the contributing staff the opportunity to come up with their own “Top TV” list this year. Netflix debuts the Season 2 teaser trailer with highlights from its first season and the first look footage from the upcoming second season of HOUSE OF CARDS.

The second season of HOUSE OF CARDS premieres Friday, February 14, 2014 on Netflix.

FUN FACT:  The series led the recently announced Golden Globe nominations with 4 noms for Best TV Series, Drama; Best Actress in a TV Series, Drama (Robin Wright); Best Actor in a TV Series, Drama (Kevin Spacey); and Best Supporting Actor in a Series, Mini-Series or TV Movie (Corey Stoll).
