Hey All, It’s been a great week of TV, from SCRUBS, to HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER, to the OFFICE, I laughed I laughed a lot. So post below your favourite Quotes this week, and you’ll find out Sunday if they make the cut!

Super-Sized OFFICE Finale was Super!
Why can’t THE OFFICE be super-sized every week! Written by series star, and newly crowned God of TV/Movies STEVE CARELL, last night’s finale perfectly balanced OFFICE humor with the romance everyone was dying to see come to fruition.
Firstly, let’s hit upon what made me laugh so much. Creed’s kleptomaniac tendencies were great. Kevin’s secret alter-ego as a ‘wedding singer’, seriously who’d have thought? And of course the Michael/Toby showdown. I’m loving how Michael and Toby have become Office mortal enemies.
Pam and Jim, do I really need to say anything except WOW! It was so great to see Jim confess his feelings to Pam (finally!). They can now be officially crowned the NEW ROSS & RACHEL! By the way, on a totally unrelated note, check out my new tshirt design that says exactly that!
My one tiny little concern, is that I hope the writers haven’t ‘jumped the shark’ with giving us the kiss we’ve been dying to see. Personally, I think the writers are completely wary of the ‘moonlighting/lois&clark’ curse, and while Jim & Pam have indeed kissed – it’s not going to be an easy path down to happiness. Either way, I’m already counting down to Fall06 to find out what will happen.
A Conversation with Lauren Collins
As she comes into view, I’m surprised to see just how incredible Lauren Collins looks in person. For a girl that’s been through a lot, and I mean some serious Degrassi-esque high school drama (rape, drugs, student/teacher affairs and a school shooting – you know, the usual high school experience) she’s still happy, greeting fans and well wishers with a smile and a handshake. And why shouldn’t she? Lauren recently graduated from high school (both in real life, and in TV) and can currently be seen on both the big and small screens. I had the lucky opportunity to talk to Lauren after the Toronto premiere of her latest feature film TAKE THE LEAD starring a little known Spanish Hearthrob Antonio Banderas.
America’s Next Top Model News
theTVaddict.com has finally hit the big time! We were emailed our first press release from UPN. Admitidly, I don’t actually watch AMERICA’S NEXT TOP MODEL, but I’m really happy to be included on UPN’s mailing list. So what’s the top-secret press release about, you’re probably wondering…
Let the UpFront Rumors Begin
Rumour has it the CW isn’t to pleased with the drams in development. sources tell the Hollywood Reporter that if INVASION isn’t renewed by ABC, the CW may decide to pick it up.
In other Upfront News, ABC announced the pickup of six pilots: IN CASE OF EMERGENCY (starring David Arquette, Greg Germann), HELP ME HELP YOU (starring Ted Danson as a celebrity shrink), NOTES FROM TEH UNDERBELLY, THE NINE (about hostages taken in a robbery, starring Chi McBride and Kim Raver) and SIX DEGREES (strangers brought together through mysterious circumstances, sort of a LOSTesque show)
Meanwhile, over at the struggeling NBC, the network that once ruled Thursday Night has picked up four new shows: STUDIO 60 ON THE SUNSET STRIP, PRIMARY, VANISHED, and AMERICAN CRIME.
Veronica Mars Graduates
TVaddict TV Tidbits
Tonight is supersized 40 minute finale of THE OFFICE! Check out a great interview with Jim (John Krasinski) over at tvguide.com
The Cast of THE WEST WING are on ELLEN today (check your local listings). It will be the only time we see the cast talk to the fans about the finale, as they deemed their pay not enough to do a proper retrospective on NBC before Sunday’s finale.
In more WEST WING news, there is a great article in the LA TIMES about Josh & Donna’s relationship. Check it out by clicking here.
Some great WILL & GRACE Scoop about the upcoming finale. According to actor Leslie Jordan, who plays recurring character Beverly Lesley on WILL & GRACE, the finale was shot over three days, with three different audiences. Basically, no one in the audience got the benefit of the full story. Apparently, the story skips around from the present to the future. We get to see what happens to the characters after the finale. While no doubt most fans and critics think it’s time for the show to go, it still makes me laugh, which is never a bad thing.
ALIAS & LOST = AWESOME
TV at it’s best… for 88 minutes last night (no commercials of couse thanks to the greatest invention evern, my PVR), I had the pleasure of watching both ALIAS and LOST at it’s best. Let me start with ALIAS, a few observations:
Evil Sloane is so much more fun then ‘pretending to be nice’ Sloane.
When Vaughn was kicking Sydspinoza (or Espisydny, whatever you prefer) do you think it was a bit therapeutic for him? (This is for breaking up with me and getting married and having a kid with Ben Affleck!)
Speaking of Vaughn, is it really possible to have a chip the size of a loonie (Canadian dollar for those of you in the know) implanted in you for thirty years and not realize it?
Sark is back, ensuring that Alias is definitely going to end it’s run on a high note.
After five years of speculation, the “Rambaldi endgame’ better be something really really cool!
On the LOST front, let me be (surely note) the first to say how much I loved last night’s episode. Why you ask? Well things actually happened, plot moved forward and Mr. Eko carried around a big axe. Some thoughts:
The combination of Eko and Locke is definitely intriguing. A man of faith and one who seems to have ‘lost’ it. Can’t wait to see this relationship continue.
It was surprising to me how much the new hatch reminded me of my living room. As a TVaddict, I like to have nine 70’s style TV’s and a giant couch to watch in maximum comfort 🙂
I loved that the father of the miracle child was the psychic who Claire met in season one. I’m just proud of myself that I actually made the connection without reading it online after and feeling like a moron for not ‘getting the show.’
Libby actually died. I have to admit to being surprised. We hardly knew her. Rest assured, showrunners Cuse and Lindeloff have assured us we haven’t seen the last of Libby. You can check out their great interview with TVGuide’s Michael Ausiello by clicking here.
Gilmore Girls: Worst Finale Ever
WOW, Amy Sherman-Palladino must really hate the WB. She planned her final send-off brilliantly. First, let’s annoy the network by overstocking Stars Hollow with Troubadours – a gimmick that while somewhat funny, definitely was overkilled in the episode. Secondly, let’s send off Rory’s boyfriend to England for the year! And finally, let’s put a major dent in the Luke & Lorelai relationship by having them have a massive fight in the middle of town, ending off with Lorelai once again sabatoging her love life by running back to Chris. Amy Sherman-Palladino definitely painted the show into a corner for next year. It will be really interesting to see how new showrunner David Rosenthal gets everyone out of this one.
I think it was a really bad sign that the happiest moment of the show was the opening scene with Sookie and Jackson – two characters that while I enjoy, can at times bring the show down. While I’m not at all ready to jump ship, it’s going to be fascinating to see if GILMORE GIRLS can actually be good again. The brilliance of the show was that Stars Hollow once was a magical place full of laughter, romance and town festivals. This season, all of that was missing. Let’s hope it comes back on THE CW.
