No network better promotes their shows then HBO. Above is ad that ran in Monday’s Variety, touting AQUAMAN’S Opening Weekend! Of course, Fans of ENTOURAGE (aka most of Hollywood) know that the ad is yet another genius marketing ploy to promote the show. Thanks to the Defamer for the tip.

Save EVERWOOD Ad
Just thought I’d post below the ad that was recently placed in Variety on behalf of the SAVE EVERWOOD Campaign. I wonder if the ‘genius’ execs at the CW picked up on our subtle hints!
My Take on TV
It is never to early to start dreaming about the ideal plot for our favorite shows, come September and beyond. Since the minute my shows ended, I was already thinking about what the writers could do to make their next season better, and what the writers could do to try and save the mockery of television they had somehow created. Here are my thoughts on what will make great shows phenomenal, and turn those “I’ll catch them if I can” shows into can’t-miss hits!
More FREE TV: Degrassi & more!
I’m declaring today, FREE TV DAY! CTV (a Canadian network) has launched CTV ON DEMAND. Through CTV ON DEMAND, you can watch episodes of CTV original programming, including DEGRASSI TNG, INSTANT STAR, CANADIAN IDOL, and CORNER GAS. Click this link to check it out.
Watch SCRUBS Online
Visitors to theTVaddict.com know that there is nothing I Love more then free TV online. So I thought I’d point fellow SCRUBS Fans to http://scrubstube.blogspot.com. Thanks to an enormous SCRUBS fan, you can find a lot of your favourite episodes online & free.
WB Pilot Rises from the Dead
Ever wonder what happens to TV sitcom pilots when they aren’t chosen to be on a Network’s Fall Schedule? Or, after viewing some truly awful network comedies (ie. Rodney, Modern Men etc.) do you ever wonder how ‘bad’ the sitcoms must have been that weren’t picked up? Well now is your chance to check out a WB pilot that was left to rot in the pilot cemetery.
Ironically titled, NOBODY’S WATCHING – was “Truman Show” like sitcom from the genius behind SCRUBS (Bill Lawrence – along with two FAMILY GUY writers). The show was pitched to both NBC and THE WB, and recently found its way on youtube.com. Creator Bill Lawrence is thrilled with the unexpected attention, “It’s validation for me because it proves that we weren’t completely crazy.”
Battlestar meets The Simpsons
Ever wonder what your favourite BSG characters would look in the Simpson’s Universe? Check out this link, you won’t be dissappointed.
Another EVERWOOD Swag Endorsement!
Yet another esteemed EVERWOOD fan (and TV columnist) has taken a moment out of their busy schedule to promo my EVERWOOD swag! (Yes I’m sure you thought my Everwood obsession was over, but I won’t stop until seasons 2-4 are released on DVD!). Check out an excerpt from this morning’s TV GAL column on Zap2it.com
Well, I think I’ve successfully completed the five stages of grief about “Everwood.” There was of course denial (you were there for that), anger (you were definitely there for that), bargaining (this involved some sort of promise not to mock the acting on “7th Heaven”), depression (that involved more chocolate than really can be acknowledged) and finally acceptance (I even purchased an “I Wish I Lived in Everwood” shirt at www.cafepress.com). I think the best thing we can all do now is purchase the first season DVD of “Everwood” and hope that convinces the powers that be to release the other three seasons.
Kristin, Korbi and now TVGAl have all talked about my EVERWOOD swag. The only major internet TV columnist left to give theTVaddict Swag Shop a shout-out is one Michael Ausiello of TVGuide. Hey Ausiello, it’s time to get with the program and pick up some swag. I know you love free stuff, but purchasing any Everwood swag from my shop is actually for a good cause. Profits will be donated to the SAVE EVERWOOD campaign. If you’re lucky, I’ll even throw in a bottle of Snapple for you!
I Love ENTOURAGE
I LOVE ENTOURAGE. That’s all I have to say. No TV show glorifies Hollywood (and the movie star lifestlye) as much (or as well) as ENTOURAGE. Watching the show is an advertisement for the incredible lives movie stars actually lead. It is way too much fun watching the show, and if you’re looking for a harmless, entertaining and really well written show to fill a half an hour on Sunday night, I’d highly recommend flipping on HBO
Battlestar Galactica Webisodes
According to the ‘scoopster’, my good friend Lauren (aka. Thors or Shakira) SCIFI.COM’s SCI FI Pulse video feature will debut Battlestar Galactica: The Resistance, a 10-episode Web series filling the gap between seasons two and three and telling the story of the birth of the human resistance movement and its determined fight against the Cylon occupation.
This is truly a frackin’ incredible idea by the fine folks at the Sci-Fi Network. This TVaddict for one can sure use a BSG fix before the Season 3 Premiere!
