Stuck in an Airport With You
Worst day ever.
Want to know where this TV Addict is supposed to be right now? New York City, touring the Showtime house, enjoying Central Park and stalking the casts of GOSSIP GIRL, UGLY BETTY and 30 ROCK. Instead, thanks to some unforeseen mechanical failures and one really dumb bird [long story] I’m stuck in Toronto until 4:15PM when, finger’s crossed, my flight is due to take off. Did I mention I’ve been here since 7AM?
Seriously, worst day ever.
Thankfully, in the Maple Leaf Lounge where Air Canada was kind enough to bump me to in an effort to make up for their inexcusable incompetence, there is free WiFi. Which means I now have the abilitty to fire off a few random thoughts on what little TV I was able to watch last night. So let the ‘time killing’ commence….

First Look Video: Katie Holmes on ELI STONE
While this TV Addict generally eschews shameless stunt casting [see Britney Spears on HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER], we can’t ignore the fact that it often gets results [again, see Britney Spears on HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER]. So with that in mind, theTVaddict.com is thrilled to present a first look at Mrs. Tom Cruise in action. We can only hope that she does for ELI STONE what Britney did for HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER.

Good News, Bad News: PRIVILEGED, SNL and KATH & KIM
Good News: With ratings up 22% from the previous week, America may be finally cluing into what this TV Addict has been espousing for a month now. PRIVILEGED is the best new show that you’re not watching. Bad News: That, or the show simply benefited from being the only new show up against the Presidential debate. But hey, let’s just pretend for a moment that that’s not the case. [Source]
Good News: Tonight marks the first of four consecutive SNL Weekend Update Thursdays following a brand new episode of THE OFFICE. Bad News: Don’t be fooled! The majority of tonight’s ‘Very Special’ Weekend Update Thursday will be comprised of political sketches from previous episodes of SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE. In other-words, expect a cleverly disguised clip show. [Source]
Good News: And speaking of SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE. After far too long a hiatus, Molly Shannon returns to the small screen this evening. Bad News: KATH & KIM was not the return this TV Addict was hoping for.

Exclusive Interview: BONES Star John Francis Daley
Before we talk BONES, let me start of by saying that FREAKS & GEEKS and KITCHEN CONFIDENTIAL are two of my all-time favorites shows. How hard was it to watch them go to the brilliant-but-canceled graveyard?
John Francis Daley: It was hard, in fact it’s really frustrating. It shows that quality isn’t enough. But at the same time, you do get used to it and you sort of realize that it’s incredibly difficult for the stars to align and for there to be a really good show that does really well. I’d rather be on a really good show that I can be proud of that is appreciated by so many people than one that does really well.
How different is it as an actor to join an already established show versus starting on a show from day one?
It’s pretty different but at the same time everyone on BONES was so welcoming that it wasn’t that hard. I’ve been on sets where it’s not so fun [but don’t worry, it’s not one of the shows that you love].
Thank God! I can’t imagine anyone involved with FREAKS & GEEKS and KITCHEN CONFIDENTIAL being difficult to work with. Of course now I’m mentally scanning through your imdb profile [THE GEENA DAVIS SHOW, BOSTON PUBLIC, REGULAR JOE, STACKED, JUDGING AMY] and wondering whom you’re referring to!
Some of the shows I’ve worked on have not been fun to be on. The vibe that you feel matters so much as to whether or not I like what I do for a living. If I’m working on a show where there is constant fighting and the crew doesn’t get along, it’s not fun because you’re constantly having to work past that hurdle.
