Today’s TV Addict Top 5: Things We Loved About Last Night’s MODERN FAMILY
It’s all about the little things.
Be it the running gag that highlighted Jay’s penchant for making t-shirts to celebrate special occasions (see above), Dunphey daughter Alex’s hilarious habit of making her siblings look stupid (Note to self: Cell phone battery cannot be charged via static electricity) or Cameron ending the episode off, no doubt much to Mitchell’s chagrin, in a bright yellow t-shirt, MODERN FAMILY is the only series we’ve started watching twice for fear of missing the little things.
Zorro Reincarnate
There’s a reason we’ve already put in our order for one of Jay’s “Who Da Manny?” t-shirts (or would have, had somebody on cafepress got their act together!) His pint-sized portrayer Rico Rodriguez can do no wrong. From his momentary retirement from fencing, “defeating a woman will be a mark on my honour” to his championship defeat of a poor girl who unbeknownst to him turned out to be a diabetic orphan whose cheering section included her nurse and a gaggle of patients in wheelchairs, Rodriguez, with apologizes to THE MIDDLE’s Atticus Shaffer continues to raise the bar for child actors on the small screen.
Morning Static: NUMB3RS, V, 2013 & More!
• Bad math, CBS subtracts episodes from NUMB3RS season order.
• Good math, courtesy of iTunes who is offering up Tuesday’s season premiere of V as a free download.
• Basic math, 2012 + TV = 2013
• Happy math, Simon Cowell donates $160,000 to cancer-striken girl.
The TV Addict Podcast: The More You Know
Back for another round of pointless TV banter comes Daniel (the TV Addict) and co-host Ariel, who this week decide to mix their random television talk with tales of set visits that were, set visits that could have been and some completely unprofessional medical advice that you most definitely should ignore. As per usual, please don’t hesitate, and by ‘don’t hesitate,’ we of course mean… let us know what you think by leaving us a comment, reviewing us on iTunes and/or sending us an email at info@thetvaddict.com or ariel@thetvaddict.com.

A Sneak Peek at Next Week’s GLEE-ful Return
Thanks to the seemingly never-ending World Series, tonight has FOX once again benching GLEE in lieu of some match nobody outside of New York or Philadelphia care about. Thus, in an effort to raise your levels of well, glee, this TV Addict thought we’d take the opportunity to fill our fellow Gleeks in on a little secret: When the continuing adventures of McKinley High does return next Wednesday November 11, it does so in a big way by delivering what is hands down the best episode to date. And not just because Kurt and Rachel are pitted in a head-to-head diva-off that may-or-may not defy gravity.
Rather, the show improves upon the one, possibly only thing that it has been severely lacking by delivering genuine and more importantly plausible character development. While at the same time firmly shining the spotlight on the one member of New Directions who until now has been left quietly waiting in the wings. And considering the episode is titled “Wheels,” you probably can guess whom we’re talking about.

On the Set of 24 with Katee Sackhoff (NSFW)
In September, you very own TV Addict was given the opportunity to visit the set of 24. And while I’m not at liberty just yet to share my photos of the unbelievably cool looking new and improved CTU (Think: Apple Store with orange highlights) or interviews with the cast (including new addition Mykelti Williamson and everybody’s favorite analyst Mary Lynn Rajskub), I did want to share — to coincide with last week’s release of BATTLESTAR GALACTICA: THE PLAN on DVD — an unexpected and hilarious somewhat not-safe-for-work tale of Edward James Olmos’ directing the movie, courtesy of Katee Sackhoff. Enjoy.
Introducing the Most Anticipated Show of… 2010
To those that say it’s waaaaaay to early to be proclaiming our favorite show of 2009 2010, this TV Addict says: Have you met the titular characters of the Mat Nix’s (BURN NOTICE) new hour-long FOX action comedy hybrid JACK AND DAN? Because according to The Hollywood Reporter, joining Bradley Whitford’s (THE WEST WING) drunken, wild-card, bed-hopping cop Jack is none other than Colin Hanks (MAD MEN), who will play his ambitious, by-the-book detective and partner.
