Good News: Pulling out all the stops for what will surely be a phenomenal final season, DirecTV has just released an incredibly hot promo in anticipation of FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS October 27th premiere. Bad News: Aside from the fact we’re unable to subscribe to DirecTV and thus won’t be getting the opportunity to catch the final season until next summer, when it comes to our favorite TV shows (see: EVERWOOD, GROSSE POINTE, JACK & BOBBY to name a few) we have serious issues about letting go.

Channel Surfing: THE EVENT, GOSSIP GIRL & 90210
Let this be a lesson to all you current and future television showrunners out there. Last night’s instalment of THE EVENT should be looked upon as the perfect example of how not to cleverly construct an episodic cliffhanger. Which is to say, if the “jaw-dropping” final scene that you’ve been spending three episodes building up to involves re-animating a group of passengers that were already pronounced dead on the scene, and among said roster of passengers is none other than highly paid series regular Scott Patterson. Well, we think the technical term is, “Holy Anti-Climactic Batman!”

Say What? Our TV Quote of the Day!
At the risk of completely overhyping tonight’s episode of GLEE — an episode that already combines two of our favorite things in the universe (TV + Grilled Cheese) — comes our TV Quote of the Day from TV Guide Magazine’s Damian Holbrook, who took the words right of our mouth by tweeting the following, “Tonight’s #Glee is their best episode since “Wheels.” If it does not affect you, you are most likely a cyborg. #grilledcheesus”

We Cast the CW’s Newest Series
This just in: the CW is thisclose to picking up DANNI LOWINSKI for midseason. Based on the German series of the same name, LOWINSKI revolves around a scrappy hairdresser/law student, who after being brushed off by potential employers decides to set up her own practice in a shopping mall kiosk. According to Deadline Hollywood, “feelers have already been sent out to talent agencies for the lead character whose casting is considered key to the project.” According to us, LIFE UNEXPECTED fans should be afraid, very afraid.
