SURVIVOR NICARAGUA Recap: Wheeling & Dealing
By: Josh Wigler
Scrambled Eggs: SURVIVOR is always at its best as it gets down to the wire, assuming there are enough interesting personalities to make things worthwhile. Thankfully, the final cast of NICARAGUA fits the bill quite nicely. With seven players left, there were two clear alliances of three with Sash sticking out like a weed waiting to be plucked. But Brenda’s ex-wingman used the position to his advantage, not only furthering his own spot in the game, but completely derailing one of the two alliances. More on that later.
Chasing Bad Ideas: In some respects, Chase is the best player out there; in others, he’s the worst. Clearly, Chase is a physically dominating player, as evidenced by how he totally tore the reward challenge apart. But he’s not the brightest bulb of the bunch, either, having picked Jane over Sash to enjoy his hard-earned reward. Bringing Jane not only put a target on all of their backs, it also gave Sash a chance to saddle up with the rival alliance. Luckily for Chase, he realized his mistake later and was able to convince Sash to stay on board. Even luckier is the fact that Chase has a hidden immunity idol, because he’s going to need to play that thing very soon if he loses another challenge.
Today’s TV Addict Top 5: Things That Make Us Go “Hmmmm…”
Despite assurances that entitling an episode “Firefly” for FRINGE’s first foray onto Friday nights starting on January 21, 2011 is mere happenstance, we can’t help but wonder why the brilliant brains behind FRINGE would even go so far as to dare tempt fate? After-all, is not naming an episode after a critically lauded FOX series just so happened to share the same unfortunate Friday night timeslot the equivalent of casting Eric Balfour as your series lead.? We’re just sayin’
With contract renegotiations for THE BIG BANG THEORY cast all but finalized, our thoughts now turn to our favorite fictional family. Considering it took months of secretive behind-the-scenes negotiations to secure deals for the five stars of the hit CBS sitcom, just how on earth is Twentieth Century Fox TV going to handle the cast of MODERN FAMILY? A cast that not only consists of six equally brilliant adult leads, but four pint-sized stars just as integral to the show’s success (see: Their recent inclusion in Entertainment Weekly’s 2010 Entertainers of the Year Issue.)

First Look: V’s Second Season Premiere to Offer up “The Full Lizard”
After a frustrating first season that lacked two of the “A’s” (Action and Answers) integral to the success of virtually any genre series, fans will be happy to discover that V isn’t wasting anytime when it returns for its highly-anticipated second season on January 4th (9PM ABC). Picking up following the aftermath of last Spring’s finale that saw Anna unleash the “Red Sky,” appropriately titled “Red Rain,” the premiere sends Erica on a journey to find a scientist (Bret Harrison) that not only may hold the key to what the Red Sky is, but the horrifying secret behind what the V’s are actually doing on Earth as well. More first look photos of which, including a handful of never-before-seen shots of our lizard friends, can be found after the jump.

Today’s TV Addict Top 5: Reasons Why You’re Not Going to Want to Miss Tomorrow Night’s NIKITA
Since the CW seems adverse to promoting any show that doesn’t feature a gaggle of really sexy vampires, we at theTVaddict.com have decided to take it upon ourselves to deliver 5 reasons why you should refrain from changing the channel following tomorrow night’s VAMPIRE DIARIES midseason finale.
It’s graduation day for Alex!
But don’t cue that “Pomp and Circumstance” march just yet. Turns out, before Alex earns all the rights and privileges that come with being promoted to a full-fledged Division Agent (Read: Allowed topside and given a wardrobe that doesn’t include sweatpants!) she’ll have to pass one final test. Alex will either get wasted or waste someone, or as it’s affectionally referred to inside Division HQ, as “The Kill Job.”
There’s a Mole!
After half a season spent scratching their heads as to how on earth Nikita has managed to continually stay one step ahead of Division, Birkhoff will finally discovers what has alluded Percy and Michael since day one, there’s a mole! Worse still, since WikiLeaks’ founder Julian Assange is tucked safely away in a UK prison, all eyes will be on a handful of Division recruits, making Nikita’s mission and Alex’s graduation day that much more of a challenge.
