Go Behind-the-Scenes of Tonight’s LIFE UNEXPECTED Series Finale
Tis better to have watched and lost than never to have watched at all. Which is why, rather than remain bitter and resentful over the CW for YET AGAIN putting one of our favorite shows on “early hiatus” — over a measly .3 of a ratings point no less — we thought we’d take the high road by reminding everyone that tonight marks the season, nay, series finale of LIFE UNEXPECTED. Will Baze, Cate, and Lux get their respective happily ever afters? There’s only one way to find out! Tune in tonight at 8PM on the CW. And until then, enjoy these never before seen behind-the-scenes photos, more of which can be found after the jump.

HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER’s “Last Words” Recap: We’ve Got Your Good, Bad & Ugly
THE GOOD: While not exactly laugh-out-loud funny, last night’s episode of HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER did provide the gang with two very important things: 1) An incredibly funny subplot for Robin “Vice Girl” Scherbatsky, who, thanks to a magical purse that would give Mary Poppins a run for her money was at the ready to provide a grieving Marshall with anything that he may need to get through his father’s funeral. And more importantly, 2) A “For Your Consideration” Emmy reel for Jason Segel. Seriously. Just how good was Segel’s performance? So good that we genuinely found ourselves getting emotional during his tearful goodbye to his father, despite the fact that we never particularly found his macho Dad or his Minnesota roots nearly as funny as the show’s writers did.
Also falling under the category of “good” was the fact that this tragedy, complete with its reminder that “life is short,” served as the impetus for Barney to want to reach out to his real-life father (Soon to be played by none other than John Lithgow). And while we’re on the subject of fathers, we’d like to acknowledge FAMILY TIES alum Michael Gross — who unlike certain actors who shall remain nameless — was cool enough to reprise his role as TDog’s… err, we mean Ted’s father.
Torn Between Two Realities: Is it wrong to love the alt-verse on FRINGE more than our universe?
At the end of Season 1 of FRINGE we were introduced to the alternate universe. It is nearly an exact replica of the world we live in, with significant differences. It is where the infamous William Bell had been hiding and where Peter Bishop originally hailed from until stolen by Walter when he was a boy. With the revelation that FRINGE had actually taken us “over there,” it was a game-changer. The mysteries that Fringe Division were encountering were no longer limited to earthly explanations – they could be explained by the fact that there was another doppelganger universe on the other side, from which people and objects were falling through the cracks.
Then at the end of Season 2, FRINGE dared to do the inconceivable and replaced Olivia Dunham with her doppelganger – leaving Olivia stranded on the other side and the faux-Olivia to wreck havoc in our world. When it was first announced that the 3rd season episodes would flip-flop (one episode in our world, and the next in the alternate-verse), fans were dubious that the show would be able to pull off such a feat. Would viewers and fans be able to watch a show that was essentially two shows in one with a tiny bridge in the temporal rift connecting them?
