If for no other reason than we’re still not over the unceremonious cancelation of VERONICA MARS, theTVaddict.com wanted to be the first to share with you a sneak peek at Jason Dohring’s return to the CW in RINGER. Scheduled to kick off the first of what has been reported to be a multi-episode arc, the October 18th episode of the Sarah Michelle Gellar nighttime sudser entitled “Maybe We Should Get a Dog Instead” sees the artist formerly known as Logan Echolls press pause on his bad boy image by stepping into the shoes of Mr. Carpenter, a teacher who intervenes when Juliet (Siobhan’s step-daughter played by Zoey Deutch) struggles with being bullied at her new school. More first look photos of which cane be found after the jump. [Read more…]

Exit Interview: Mark ‘Papa Bear’ Caruso Talks SURVIVOR: SOUTH PACIFIC
Continuing last season’s tradition that saw theTVaddict.com lucky enough to be given the opportunity to interview SURVIVOR cast-aways after they’ve been booted off the island comes our first interview of the new season from SURVIVOR: SOUTH PACIFIC, Mark ‘Call me Papa Bear’ Caruso.
We first have to start by asking a question we’re fairly confident you’ve gotten a lot since last Thursday, what’s the deal with ‘Papa Bear’?
Mark Caruso: It’s really funny. My real name is Mark Anthony Michael Caruso and what happened was when I was on the boat [at the start of the show] I saw the people on my tribe and I saw the people on the other tribe and I was like “Oh my God, I’m on a boat filled with Kens, Barbies and a nerd.” I knew I had to think of something fast to maintain myself in the Tribe so obviously I thought who was going to vote off their father or mother, so that’s where the “Papa” part came in. Then the bear comes from the gay community, beard, moustache, big husky guy, put it together and that’s how I got it. Everybody loved Papa Bear so the name stuck. [Read more…]

Today’s TV Addict Top 5: Reasons Why We Implore You to Check Out Tonight’s Hilarious HAPPY ENDINGS
Meet the Parent!
Continuing in the grand tradition of last season’s stand out episode that introduced us to Max’s loving — albeit completely clueless parents when it came to the subject of their son’s sexuality — tonight’s instalment features Penny’s positively optimistic mom played by the brilliant — and if all things go according to plan, future Emmy winner for outstanding guest actress in a comedy — Megan Mullally.
News You Can Use
From the rules of improve (Rule #1: “Support your partner.”) to the hilarious, albeit somewhat misinformed facts about the city of Chicago (Said Max in his latest job as tour guide, “Chicago was originally nicknamed the ‘Window City’ but another nickname had that first… so thanks a lot Omaha!”), tonight’s episode of HAPPY ENDINGS doesn’t just entertain, it edu-tains. Providing valuable news we… err… can’t really talk about here due to the family friendly nature of this website (cough*cough*j*spot*cough). [Read more…]

LAST MAN STANDING: We Watched It So You Wouldn’t Have To!
For those who wish longingly for the life of a critic, you should probably know that getting paid to watch television for a living isn’t always what it’s cracked up to be. For every unforgettable set visit, party or premiere, there are times like this morning that just saw us spend almost an hour watching and re-watching, Tim Allen’s new ABC sitcom LAST MAN STANDING.
Why twice you ask? Simply put, having grown up on HOME IMPROVEMENT (and Pixar’s Toy Story trilogy) we’ve always had a soft spot for Tim Allen. Unfortunately, as much as we would have liked to have been able to report otherwise, said aforementioned affection doesn’t translate to his newest show that sees the artist formerly know as Tim “The Tool Man” Taylor transform into Mike “The slightly older xenophobic and homophobic” Baxter, a father forced to become a little more involved in the parenting of his three daughters (a teen mom, a princess and a tomboy) when wife Vanessa (Nancy Travis) returns to the work place.
Cue the crux of the problem. [Read more…]
