The name alone suggests something out of the Elvis era, but do not let the name fool you. GRACELAND is the code name for a beach house stocked with undercover agents from the FBI, DEA and U.S. Customs all working to bring a halt to the importation of illegal narcotics in the new USA Network series of the same name. In an exclusive interview, star Manny Montana talked about how hard his character will strive to keep this unusual task force together and offered a few teasers at the challenges ahead in the momentous first season of GRACELAND. Comic Con 2013: Why TV Addicts Should Be Particularly Excited About This Summer’s Annual Pilgrimage to San Diego
Five weeks away and with attendee badges in scarce supply, this year’s San Diego Comic-Con is about to take off. Soon the press releases announcing everything from exclusive memorabilia and one of a kind collector’s items to the hottest movies/TV shows hosting panels will be popping up across the internet.
It’s not all about just the 4-day star-studded event anymore; it is about the anticipation that builds in the weeks preceding, as fans salivate at the prospect of acquiring exclusives and catching a glimpse of their favorite stars. San Diego Comic-Con is the oldest reigning fan event, dating back over 30 years – and if there is one thing they have mastered it is the art of building anticipation.
Here at theTVaddict.com we are already massively excited about the prospective TV panels at Comic-Con that will be gracing the hallowed halls of the San Diego Convention Center this year: [Read more…]
Necessary Watching: David Anders Reflects on ALIAS, ONCE UPON A TIME and His Newest Role on NECESSARY ROUGHNESS
Despite the fact much of USA Network’s marketing efforts have been primarily focused on alerting viewers to the fact that when NECESSARY ROUGHNESS returns for its third season tonight, it will do so with special guest star John Stamos in tow, we here at theTVaddict.com will be tuning in for one reason and one reason only. David Anders.
Since bursting onto our radar as the delightfully devious Julian Sark on [one of our all-time favorite shows] ALIAS, Anders has simply been one of those actors we can’t get enough of. Neither, it would appear, can Showrunners, who have transformed him into one of Hollywood’s hottest guest stars thanks to high profile roles in HEROES, 24, THE VAMPIRE DIARIES, ONCE UPON A TIME and now NECESSARY ROUGHNESS. The latter of which is why we were recently afforded the opportunity to chat one-on-one with the actor, who was only too happy to reflect on his fascinating journey from a small town in Oregon to Hollywood. See for yourself after the jump. [Read more…]

For example, over the years, I learned the benefits of replacing your toothbrush frequently from BONES, the health benefits of yogurt from BURN NOTICE and how a hot cup of tea can disarm just about anyone from THE MENTALIST. So looking back over the 2012-2013 TV season, I began to wonder what exactly I learned from some of the TV shows I watched. While it is true that most did not truly seek to impart some real world advice or moral message, it was curious what I took away from each.
All fun intended, here’s what I remember: [Read more…]
