Two years and nearly three seasons later, the long awaited wedding of Emily Thorne (Emily VanCamp) and Daniel Grayson (Josh Bowman) has finally come. From all the spoiler-filled photos we can see that the bride and groom make it to the wedding cake part of the celebration, and from the fateful opening to the third season, we all watched with horror as Emily was shot and fell overboard from her honeymoon yacht.
So for faithful fans, they have watched with wonder as Emily plotted out every final detail to her big day – not just her wedding day, but the day her ultimate revenge is unleashed on the Graysons. She is just itching to put that final nail in the Grayson coffin and bury Victoria (Madeleine Stowe) and Conrad (Henry Czerny) once and for all for their willingness to sacrifice her father to save their own skins all those years before. Fortunately, Emily’s revengenda has allowed her to pick up a few friends and allies along the way; there’s Nolan (Gabriel Mann), Aiden (Barry Sloane) and now Jack (Nick Wechsler) all working to ensure that her wedding day trap goes off without a hitch.
Last week’s shocker revealed that Lydia (Amber Valletta) had also survived the plane bombing that was supposed to have claimed her and Victoria’s lives in the Season 1 finale. Unfortunately, with Lydia back, so are her nasty suspicions that Emily Thorne is not who she is claiming to be — if only she could find that photo that exposes Emily.
So with Lydia circling close and ready to spring when it suits her, there could just be on more hitch in Emily’s trip down the aisle. Also still on shaky ground is Daniel who is exhibiting extreme cold-feet in his choice of a life-mate, even one pregnant with his child. Having rekindled his romance and love for Sara (Annabelle Stephenson), Daniel is not sure how in the world he has come to the place where he is in love with two women, and only one can be his wife. But since Emily is the mother of his unborn child, she seems to have the upper-hand for now.
In this week’s episode “Exodus,” so many well-laid plans could go quickly awry if either Victoria, Conrad, Lydia, Daniel, Sarah or one of the various guests should go off script. Fortunately, Emily has planned for every contingency. She is not about to let Daniel slip through her fingers just when she has pushed him this far to the wedding chapel. Nor will she let a blonde gold-digger, opportunity like Lydia spoil her fun at the last second either. Not when she has Aiden and Nolan ready to step up and run interference.
But Lydia and Sarah are not the only long lost romantic interests to surface on the eve of the big day, one more crops up and Emily must scramble to get that person out of the way as well. Greencard weddings having nothing on those Grayson shenanigans!
So this week, look for an old face to return, a confession or two, hearts to be broken, love to be rewarded and more than one jaw-dropping shockers to play out in the final five minutes. That’s right, those final five minutes are jam-packed and set up REVENGE’s return in January perfectly. Leaving you with one final thought: what is worse than getting shot on your wedding day? Even Emily cannot plan for everything.
