GAME OF THRONES Sneak Peek: The Battle Over Jon Snow’s Body

HBO wants you to know that Jon Snow is dead on GAME OF THRONES. In a recent press release for the sixth season, the synopsis for the premiere begins with the words “Jon Snow is dead”. Now, whether that means he won’t be coming back is another story, but until that happens (if it does), there’s a battle taking place over his body.

Liam Cunningham, who plays Davos Seaworth, went on CONAN last night to talk about the upcoming season. He makes it very clear how seriously HBO and George R.R. Martin take their spoilers (he jokingly says he will be taken out by a sniper if he reveals a secret and Conan could be taken out too just for asking). And then he introduces a clip from the season premiere. In the video, Davos grabs Snow’s sword and then tells a group of Brothers in Black that he’s never been much of a fighter so “apologies for what you’re about to see.” Moments later, we see others trying to break into the chamber.

GAME OF THRONES returns for its sixth season on Sunday, April 24 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT on HBO and HBO Canada.
